* I would like to say that interviewing David Henrie was one of the best celebrity experiences I’ve ever had. He was gracious enough to give me the time I needed to conduct an interview as well as congratulating me on some my accomplishments. If you don’t know David Henrie is an actor who played Justin Russo in the Disney Channel TV Show “Wizards Of Waverly Place” as well as other roles in different films. I couldn’t even believe that I was standing in front of him because I grew up being a Disney kid and Wizards Of Waverly Place was one of my favorite TV shows. Mr. Henrie was such a kind and humble man, I hope you guys enjoy the interview!
Me: First off thank you for doing this for me, I know you’re a busy man and I’m not gonna take up too much of your time.
David: Of course anything for a fan, it’s not a problem at all so feel free to ask away.
Me: My first question is, do you have any new projects that you’re working on in the film industry?
David: Absolutely, I’m directing a film in September I wrote called “This Is The Year”. It’s going to be in Alabama and I’m very excited to see how it turns out. It’s going to be about a kid who goes on a trip to his favorite music festival along with his best friend and the girl he’s in love with. He tries to express his feeling to her, but along the way he develops feelings for someone else. It’s a love triangle, but fun.
Me: Sounds exciting, I’m going to be looking out for that future film. Do you think it’s bizarre for fans to compare Wizards Of Waverly Place to Harry Potter?
David: I mean I don’t think it’s bizarre, I think they both show wizard worlds and magic, but in two completely different tones.
Me: Well, you definitely put things in a different perspective for fans who think that way. Are you enjoying your new life? I see that you’ve gotten married so that is beautiful.
David: Marriage is the best, being married is like the greatest thing ever. I’ve had a blast at my wedding and my wife is absolutely awesome. My life now is great, I’m having a really good time.
Me: That is so great to hear, I’m super happy for you. Do you miss being a wizard?
David: I miss everyone definitely. It was great to have a family to work with every day it was just a lot of fun. Just like you, I thought that the show was great and I miss getting to spend that time with them.
Me: Yes the show was awesome, I’ve been trying to be a wizard for years! So I have to ask what has been your best fan reaction?
David: The best fan reaction is kinda hard to say because there are so many of them. I just like when fans are humble and kind. Hearing fans say that I make their childhoods make me feel really good. Hearing you say that I made your childhood gave me a great feeling.
Me: Well, thank you so much, M, Mr. Henrie, for allowing me to interview you and just blessing me with the time, it really means a lot.
David: Of course, I love to help out. Thank you for being a fan and expressing your appreciation it means a lot because this is my first time signing at a convention and I can’t wait to do it again.
