Originals: What We Know So Far About the Hope Mikaelson Spin-Off “Legacies”

Yes, season five of the “Originals” had the nerve to take a break!  What are we going to do with the time until it returns?  How about we cover what we know about the spin-off premiering this fall?  That’s a good idea!

And here we go with the Top Four Things We Know So Far About The Spin-Off titled “Legacies!”

(1) The X-Men Meet the Mikaelsons!

I know I wasn’t the only one who heard echoes of the X-Men school when she read the name “The Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted!”  “Legacies” will apparently focus on the next generation of young, magically powered, pretty people.  This will specifically include Hope Mikaelson and the two daughters of Alaric.

(2) What Faces Can We Expect to See?

Danielle Rose Russell will continue to play 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson.  Besides her, no other names have been locked in except for Matt Davis, otherwise known as Alaric.  Julie Plec, the same person behind “Vampire Diaries” and the “Originals,” has said that familiar faces will pop in and out of “Legacies!”

(3) Does the Apple Fall Far from the Murderous Mikaelson Tree?

The “Originals” has always been unique in that the main character, Klaus, has always been a bit of a villain.  In the first season he was especially cruel and at times at odds with every other character.  Will it be the same for his daughter?  According to Julie Plec, this question will be the basis for “Legacies” as a whole.  Most of the kids attending Alaric’s school come from dark beginnings.  Each of them will have to decide for themselves if they are more of a villain or hero.

(4) More Time Jumps

Apparently, there will be a two year time jump from the end of “Originals” season five to the beginning of “Legacies.”  This might be tricky for Alaric!  This time jump would put him in his 50’s.  The actor is only in his 30’s.  Let’s see what magical makeup it takes to make that happen!

And there you have it!  There isn’t a lot known about “Legacies” yet, but as I come to know it, I’ll share it with you!
