We are back with another exciting episode of My Hero Academia, people! Last episode, we kind of got into a rescue situation where one of the villains named Mr. Compress has minimized Bakugo and Tokoyami into marbles and are close to escaping with them! But with remarkable planning, our U.A. students have been able to catch the elusive Mr. Compress, but find themselves in the middle of a showdown with the remaining members of the Vanguard action squad.
But, before we get there, we first get a look at what is happening at the training facility. Kirashima is adamant in leaving the facility to help and find his friend Bakugo. Some students and Vlad King disagree and think they should stay put. Some other students in the class think they should go out and try to help defend against the villains. As they argue, the sound of a door opening interrupts the squabbling. Many expect it to be Mr. Aizawa, but no, it’s Dabi! He opens the next set of doors with aforceful burst of fire that just misses Vlad King. But Vlad King jumps into action, and is able to pin Dabi to a nearby wall thanks to his blood control quirk that can harden a foe into place.

King Vlad thought it was very foolish how Dabi would just make an abrupt entrance without any plan of attack. Dabi ignores talk of strategy and starts to explain the purpose of these attacks. These constant tests and break in the metaphorical pro hero’s shields are doing what they are intended to do. These little slip ups here and there are causing society as a whole to shake. Their trust in the heroes and in their symbol of peace is wavering. Dabi’s flames are starting to burst out of his skin and King Vlad tries to hit him hard, but Mr. Aizawa swoops in. Mr. Aizawa gets Dabi wrapped up and is stomping him very lightly. Turns out, it was another clone made by the villain Twice. Luckily, Aizawa just showed up to drop off Kota and get back to the front lines. The students ask if they can come along and Aizawa gives a stern “No”. The villains are much to dangerous and are obviously targeting students. They might not be out for just Bakugo.
Now back with Midoriya and crew, tension is rising. As Midoriya, Todoroki, and Shoji all have Mr. Compress pinned down, Dabi orders Mr. Compress to move quickly. He slips away from underneath the students and Dabi sends a huge burst of fire their way. Shoji and Midoriya do get clipped by the flames but Todoroki just makes it out. The villains then split up. Twice takes his chances with facing Todoroki and Toga is in a full on charge for Midoriya. Toga has been showing many obsessive bahaviors towards Midoriya, and actually gets him on his back! Toga begins to get very flustered about the thought of making Midoriya bleed. Before she can get her blade into a worn out Midoriya, Shoji comes in and sweeps Toga right off her feet! This frustrates Toga greatly, and she becomes even more bloodthirsty.
While those two face off against each other, Todoroki has his hands full with Twice. Todoroki sends ice towards Twice but they all fail to connect. While the U.A. students protect themselves from the villains, Mr. Compress reports to Dabi. Dabi asks if he succeeded in capturing Bakugo and Mr. Compress reaches in his pocket to find him. But, to his surprise, there was nothing in the pocket. Shoji tells Midoriya and Todoroki that they need to run away now. Shoji reveals that he has gotten the two marbles from Mr. Compress! They start to run away from the impending danger when they eventually find themselves stuck between a Nomu and the warp gate villain, Kurogiri.

Kurogiri tells the villains that it is past the time that they should have left. Each go into the portals one by one, but this doesn’t sit right with Dabi. The job they came to do was not finished. Mr. Compress however, tells Dabi there is nothing to worry about. Turns out the marbles that Shoji stole are not Tokoyami or Bakugo, but a decoy! The three run as fast as they can towards Dabi and Mr. Compress’ warp gate. As they make their final exit from the training camp, at the very right moment, Aoyama blasts Mr. Compress from the bushes with his naval laser! This causes him to drop Tokoyami and Bakugo. Shoji is able to grab on marble, but Dabi grabs the second right before Todoroki could snag it. Mr. Compress snaps his finger revealing Tokoyami as the marble that Shoji grabbed, and Bakugo and the one they failed to recover. Bakugo stands with Dabi’s grip on his neck, face showing of fear. Midoriya yells out Bakugo’s name, and Bakugo responds, “Deku, don’t come”. The villains succeeded in capturing Bakugo. Emergency services arrive to the training grounds fifteen minutes later to douse the wild fire and care to the injured. Of all the villains, three were detained by the police. Muscular, Mustard, and Moonfish. Midoriya was brought to the nearest hospital. In the ambulance, while fading in and out of conciousness, he remembers the words of Shigaraki. That the next time they meet will probably be the time he has decided to kill him.
Back at U.A. academy the next day, press is lined up outside the door begging for an official statement. No students are at the premises, but some facility are present in the meeting room. There seems to be a couple of differing opinions on what is to cause for organized crime to all of a sudden start crawling back. The age of All Might was supposed to weed out the criminals but while this happened, the pro heroes got complacent thinking they would have time to prepare. All Might is also present at this meeting, feeling really bad that he wasn’t able to help the students at the training camp. Principal Nezu does think that it was no secret that Bakugo had violent tendencies from the sports festival. And that if he is won over by the villains, U.A. is in jeopardy of losing its educational merit.

This pops an idea into Present Mic’s head. There must be a traitor amongst either the faculty or in the student population. The only people who knew where the training camp would be are the pro heroes and the Pussycats. Principal Nezu makes his trust apparent from All Might, Midnight, Present Mic, and Snipe. Suddenly, All Might leaves the room to answer a phone call. Before he answers the call however, he reiterates how pathetic it was he could not save his students. On the other side of the phone is detective Tsukauchi. Tsukauchi explains that some interesting developments have been made. That through weeks of questioning the general public on the League of Villains whereabouts, they have found the vacant karaoke bar that they reside in! There will be a search and recuse team made of pro heroes, and All Might has agreed to be apart of it.

We find Midoriya in the hospital, finally regaining conciousness after two days of fading in and out. Kaminari then sees Midoriya is finally awake and reveals that most of Class A is there to welcome him! Well all but Jiro and Hagakure who are still unconcious, Yaoyorozu who is hospitalized, and of course Bakugo who is still missing. Midoriya starts to remember two days prior when Bakugo was kidnapped. All Might’s words ring in his head, “I can’t save the people I can’t reach”. Midoriya went out of his way to save someone who he couldn’t reach, while Bakugo was right in front of him. This is such hard criticism being that Kota would not have had a chance against Muscular and Midoriya certainly did save his life. Kirashima tells Midoriya that it is not too late to save Bakugo.
The other day, Kirashima and Todoroki paid a visit to the hospital and overheard a conversation All Might was having with Yaoyorozu. Yaoyorozu explains to All Might and Tsukauchi that she has planted a tracking device on the nomu at the training camp. All Might tells Yaoyorozu that before, Mr. Aizawa said that she lacks the judgement to make quick decisions and that now she has grown so much. She still feels very bad about this being the only way she can help while another student is in grave danger, but All Might reassuringly tells her that because she feels that way, she will make a great hero. While Todoroki and Kirashima create a game plan in front of the class, Iida does not agree with this at all. He remembers the consequences they all dodged when they used their quirks without the right authority on the hero killer Stain. Iida is adamant in wanting to leave this situation to the pros.

Kirashima felt awful for being locked up in the training facility, standing idly by while his friends were attacked and Bakugo being kidnapped. Kirashima feels if he does not act now, he is not worthy of being a hero, or even a man. His classmates all seem to disagree with him. He reaches out to Midoriya and tells him that you can still reach out to Bakugo and save him. Midoriya obviously torn between what is the right thing to do and what is the heroic thing to do.
There is such an internal struggle going on in between class 1-A, and it’s the last thing we need right now while Bakugo is in trouble! But this episode, we get a new setting, and perhaps a look at what is to come in the next couple of episodes. Hopefully Midoriya can find a compromise, but his options are either stand by and not get involved, or rise up and take action illegally. Until next time everybody!
