Tonight on Superstore, The Jonah+Amy ship starts to sort of a little bit sail and honestly it’s the greatest thing that ever happened.
But before we talk about that, lets set the scene.
A new video game is being released and the nerds are taking over Cloud Nine. The video game aficionados are all over the store and not at all listening to Sandra or Glenn when they ask them to form a single file. Dina comes in and yells at them to move, then calls Glenn & Sandra useless.
They take this to heart (who wouldn’t) and try to toughen up – but they go too hard and offend a breastfeeding mom, who then comes back with her mom friends and hosts a nurse-in. Honestly this plot made no sense, it was just a C plot that allowed for Dina to abruptly break it to Glenn that the implantation worked and that she’s pregnant.

As part of the video game launch, one of the voice actors is at the store signing autographs and meeting fans. Garrett is a huge fan of this guy and tries to meet him Weirdly, typical cool dude Garrett cannot get it together when it comes to this guy, he comes across like a total fanboy which is so endearing! It ends with him literally yelling at that guy and telling him to fuck off so I would say that did not go well.
Now let’s get to the ship news! Amy really wants a copy of this video game, she likes decapitating people after a long day at work. Dina refuses to let her set a copy aside but Jonah convinces her to break into the vault and grab one because she deserves it. Unfortunately, they can’t reach the games through the cage. They do however see a door behind the cage so they decide to break into Glenn’s office, steal the blueprints, and go into the underbelly of the store to find this game. They find a secret door and go through into some weird dark hallways together. They land in this room full of old recalled products. And you guys they BOND like it’s nobody’s business. They eat weird recalled candy, drink horrible malt drinks, wear giant inflatable suits, and play a horrible racist board game.

They chat about how Jonah thought Amy hated him at first. & she’s like no I didn’t hate you, I thought you were naive. When he asks what she thinks now, she still says naive but now it doesn’t bother her as much. Jonah giggles & tells her that one day she’ll even like him, and Amy looks at him with love eyes and realizes that she more than likes him. They finally work their way through the tunnels but come out through the men’s dressing room so the adventure is a failure if we’re only going based off of results. HOWEVER IT IS A SUCCESS BECAUSE THEY BONDED AND AMY REALIZED SHE LOVED JONAH AND JONAH REMEMBERED HE LOVES AMY. As evidenced by the fact that he bribed a teenager and got her a copy of the game!!!
The bummer part is that Amy invites Jonah to her place to play the game but he has plans with Kelly. This sinks our ship a little bit but I feel it being only temporary.
