In almost every episode of the Will & Grace reboot, they have tried to stay relevant by tackling social issues and providing commentary on the state of the world, particularly the state of the United States given the political climate.
In the latest episode, they tackle the conversion camps that are a disgrace in the eyes of normal people but also a sense of pride and joy in Mike Pence’s life. To get there, they need a kid, and to insert a kid into this story, they need to make him Elliott’s son!

Remember Elliott?! Well now he’s a super conservative dude who always wears denim and a cowboy hat and hates shaving and haircuts. This all happened when he moved to Texas and married a super conservative (read hateful) woman whose name doesn’t even matter. Their son, Skip, comes to find Jack in the apartment all by himself. At first Jack is reluctant to bond with him but he soon realizes that Skip is probably gay (through a little bit of stereotyping but okay whateverrrrrr). Skip says he’s in town to go to a camp upstate but it’s not a theatre camp.
Jack and Will find out about Camp Straighten Arrow and head down there to save Skip from this nonsense. It’s honestly a little hard to laugh at these jokes because this is something that is still really happening to people, but okay. Will distracts the counselors – perfectly played by Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells, both playing gay pretending to be straight – by volunteering to kiss one of them to prove he’s straight so that Jack can give Skip a peptalk.

In a sweet and tender moment, Jack shares his own story about how hard it was for him growing up and promises Skip that it does get better, that he’ll get to choose his family soon enough and surround himself with loving people. Until then, Jack reminds him to stay though and remember that he doesn’t need fixing because he’s not broken, he is exactly who he is supposed to be. Seeing all this, Elliott realizes that what he’s subjecting his son to is absolute garbage and nonsense and pulls him out of the camp.
Meanwhile, Karen is convinced that Grace’s vagina is dying. All episode long, she makes jokes about it and keeps telling Grace to get herself laid. I would think that Grace could just masturbate but what do I know. Anthony Ramos is back at the office and he does some heavy flirting with both Karen and Grace. Grace takes it a smidge too far and makes everyone uncomfortable. But as they’re drinking martinis, Grace decides to get back out there because her marriage may be dead, but her snooch is still alive and well.
