The Game of Nerds has been extremely lucky to attend some wonderful events and meet great people. Some of these people include small business owners who make insanely cool nerdy products for fans. Proton Pins is one of those amazing businesses who work hard to cater to the nerd and geek world.

Proton Pins specializes in nerdy graphic design, merchandise and made-to-order cosplay accessories. She sells items such as enamel pins & stickers with unique designs you won’t find anywhere else. Rachel is the owner of Proton Pins and also an phenomenal cosplayer. I was blessed to have a fan girl moment with her at ID10T Fest after obessing over her pins for months. I asked her how she got into designing pins and this was her response:
“As a designer, I’ve has worked full time in product development for just over 5 years. I’ve developed jewelry, gift products, stationery and home decor items for a world-wide gift company, and found myself anxious to work on designs of my own. It started with calligraphy and typography art prints, and eventually my own love [read; obsession] of enamel pins bled into my design. “Slimer Om Nom” was my first venture in to the pin game, and it has been a whirlwind adventure ever since! I love being able to create items that make people smile, both professionally and in my personal art, and I look forward to many more smiles in the future!”
Interested in more than just Ghostbusters? Soon Proton Pins will be diving into other fandoms (don’t worry they aren’t forgetting about Ghostbusters) and will be expanding our offerings to our customers. If you are interested in ordering some pins or artwork you can do so from her Etsy store.
