Still loving the hell out of this intro and outro!
Welcome back for episode 15 of season 2 of My Hero Academia. I was a little disappointed that the dubs are not coming out at the same time as the subs for a little while but I don’t mind it. It’s just the dubs in this show were really good, I enjoy them a lot.
So Izuku now can make One for All flow through his whole body simultaneously. So first thing is to test it on Gran Torino. Izuku was given 3 minutes to land a hit on Gran Torino. It becomes apparent that Midoriya is a little slow when it comes to reaction time and charging One For All through out his body. But with his quick analytic skills, he was able to fake out Gran Torino and slow his Jet ability down. For only being a day since Midoriya arrived, he is sure learning a lot from Gran Torino.
Meanwhile, back at UA; Detective Tsukauchi meets up with All Might to discuss a certain phenomena. The Police Force have detained Nomu, but they are struggling to get information about the League of Villains out of him. So through DNA testing, the Police Force have found that Nomu has four different humans DNA mixed with his own. Implying that someone has mixed other people’s quirks into one person. Similar to how All Might can hand down his quirk. All Might then says, “Has that man…. started to move again…?” So All Might must know of someone who would be up to this.
Gran Torino decides that Midoriya is ready for phase 2: time to fight some villains. So the two make their way to the city. Someone else who is already in the city is Iida. Iida, determined to find the hero killer Stain and stop his villainous ways, has been reminded by hero Manual to not act on his revenge. Heroes cannot use their quirks for their own personal vendettas. They must use it for the best of the society.
While on the train to Hosu City, Midoriya and Gran Torino’s train was attacked by Nomus released by Shigaraki. Multiple nomus that look a lot more odd than the original Nomu. So this has set up a fight scene against the nomus for the next episode. Meanwhile, Iida has come to rescue a pro hero from the grasp of hero killer Stain. Stain does not see Iida as a threat a merely shrugs him off. But Iida tells Stain that his name is Ingenium and that he will be the hero that will stop him. So that got Stain’s attention and we are left with a black screen with one word muttered by Stain, “Die”.
I saw this episode as kind of like a set up for a super great episode in the horizon. It was good to get some context and clarity for some things. But now I’m just super pumped up for episode 16. I can only imagine what’s in store for us.
