Disney XD’s Ducktales re-boot doesn’t debut for a few more weeks, but thanks to the Ducktales panel at San Diego Comic-Con, we have a few more reasons to be excited for the forthcoming animated series.  The cast, including David Tennant, Ben Schwartz, Kate Micucci  Danny Pudi, and Beck Bennett were joined by the creative team of Matt Youngberg (executive producer), Frank Angones (co-producer/story editor), Toks Olagundoye (Castle, The Neighbors), and Francisco Angones (co-producer/story editor) to talk about bringing the classic comic book turned cartoon to new audiences.

Comic-con audience members were treated to a new sneak peak of the show, which we are excited to share with you below. The creative team also revealed for the first time that Darkwing Duck will be joining the Ducktales universe!

Darkwing Duck was the star of his own animated series, which debuted in 1991, but has never been a part of the Ducktales universe, despite the fact that the two shows shared some of the same characters, including Launchpad McQuack, who can be seen in the teaser below.

It’s unclear when Darkwing Duck will make his Ducktales Debut, but we will let you know as soon as we do! In the meantime, Ducktales premieres with a 2-hour movie on August 12th, before returning to its permanent timeslot in September. Disney XD has already ordered 2 seasons of the series, so be prepared to spend lots of time with Scrooge McDuck and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie.
