Every so often a musical or a theatre play gets an entirely new cast. For me personally, it takes some getting used to, especially for the Harry Potter play. In the movies, you are nearly always sure about a certain actor or an actress getting the same role in sequels. But in the theatre world, it hardly happens that an actor or actress plays the same role for a couple of years straight. The same goes with Cursed Child. Pictures of the new cast have been published and let’s take a look at them!
First, we have the Potters. It is Jamie Glover as Harry Potter, Emma Lowndes as Ginny Potter and Theo Ancient as Albus Potter. Although I must say that Harry looks a bit too angry for my liking.
In the Weasley family, we have Thomas Aldridge as Ron Weasley, Rakie Ayola as Hermione Granger and Helen Aluko as Rose Granger-Weasley. It still looks like they haven’t ditched the awful Ron sweater.
And last but not least we have the Malfoys consisting out of James Howard as Draco Malfoy and Samuel Blenkin as Scorpius Malfoy. Now I feel like Draco gets creepier by every actor that plays him. I thought that the previous actor was creepy in some kind of way, but James Howard takes it to the next level.
