So you may remember our group went to The magical land of Fillory in pursuit of The Beast–in case you forgot, The Beast was revealed to be Martin Chatwin, not novelist and child-molester Christopher Plover.

On an unrelated and less consequential note: Penny finally reached the girl that was trapped in the dungeon of the Invisible Fortress (and Plover, but no one gives a f*ck, except it reveals the dramatic irony that Martin is The Beast (everyone else knew)).

A lot happens but, notably Eliot is revealed to be the High King of Fillory and has to marry the blacksmiths daughter [big deal as it’s a more magical marriage that can’t be undone],

And the group confronts The Beast in the Wellspring of Magic, which looks like Plover’s Writing Room (in case you haven’t rewatched and just remember it looking like a study).

Oh and Julia gets her brain cleared by the Fillorian God Ember and we learn that My Lady Underground was fake and was actually just the Fox Demon Reynard catfishing Julia and her now dead friend. A reminder, Katie was able to escape while Julia was being assaulted and Marina returned to help Julia, and they will likely play roles in season 2.

Oh yeah, no more of this because Penny lost his hands.

And the big twist: Julia is now in cahoots with The Beast.
