Since season 6 of Game of Thrones just ended and production has been slightly delayed, we didn’t learn much about what’s to come in season 7, but we did get some good quotes from the cast!

David Benioff (Creator): “I just want to point out that Sophie Turner made us all do shots of vodka before we came out here”

On why Ramsay sucks:

Iwan Rheon (Ramsay): “Poor guy’s had a tough upbringing; he’s a bastard in the North…which is always difficult. And he’s just looking for his father’s love and acceptance and recognition all is life…everyone can relate to that.”

Sophie Turner (Sansa) : Boo Hoo!

On the response to Hodor’s death:

Kristian Nairn (Hodor): “I was at a hotel in L.A. and all of the doorstops said Hodor on them!”

John Bradley (Sam Tarley) would like his character to die in a book related accident! “It wasn’t battle that killed him! It was books that killed him!”

Conleth Hill (Varys) said that if he had his own spies he would use them to make the world better: “I think we should all be heading toward inclusivity rather than exclusivity.”

On how Sophie Turner (Sansa) thinks Sansa feels about Jon being King in the North: “I think she thinks he doesn’t have the intellect, the knowledge, the experience that she has and I concur.”

Faye Marsay (Waif) on the Arya=The Waif theory: “I think the theory is a cool one but I think Arya is Arya and that’s her journey and the way it is now is the best way.”

Isaac Wright (Bran) on telling Jon about his parents: “I don’t know how Jon will take it when Bran turns up and says ‘By the way, I’m a tree wizard and your dad isn’t your dad

On who should end up on the Iron Throne:

Miguel Sapochnik: “I would be very happy if they shared it, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen.”

Liam Cunningham: “I hope I’m not right…I have an image of the Night’s King on the throne with his leg over the arm sucking on a Cuban cigar.”

John Bradley: “Just out of pure blind loyalty, I’d say Jon.”

Nathalie Emmanuel: “I have a similar motive and have to say Daenerys.”

Conleth Hill: “I know, but I can’t say.”

Sophie Turner: “I think I want Littlefinger on the throne! I think it would be fun…quirky…sadistic! We like that sort of thing!” [note: Nope, Sophie, so much nope.]

Iwan Rheon: “I think they should melt the thing down and have a democracy!”

Faye Marsay: “Probably Arya…because if I don’t say her Maisie will probably beat me up with a stick!”

Isaac Wright: “Stark dream team: Jon on the throne, Sansa advising, Arya beating people up, and Bran sitting in the corner with a tree.”

Kristian Nairn: “I think the throne’s not going to be important by the end of the show!…But I think Westeros deserves someone with honor and integrity and I think Brienne…(audience applause)”

Sophie Turner on the possibility of a romantic relationship between Jon and Sansa: “I swear to God, David and Dan, if you make anything happen I’m going to kill you!”
