As part of the promotion for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, J.K. Rowling has released more information on Ilvermorny, the American school for witchcraft and wizardry. For more information on Ilvermorny, you can read Rowling’s short story on Pottermore.

Horned Serpent: represents the mind of the wizard and favors scholars
Wampus: represents the body of the wizard and favors warriors
Thunderbird: represents the soul of the wizard and favors adventurers
Pukwudgie: represents the heart of the wizard and favors healers
Supposedly, there is no equivalent between Hogwarts houses and Ilvermorny houses, meaning, Thunderbird doesn’t match up to Slytherin, etc. But Bustle released an article claiming Horned Serpent=Ravenclaw, Pukwudgie=Hufflepuff, Thunderbird=Slytherin, and Wampus=Gryffindor. I’m calling BS, though, because according to Pottermore, I’m in Gryffindor and Pukwudgie!
