After a dissatisfying ending of the previous movie we hopefully get a chance to see what happens next in World War Z 2. One thing: it still takes a year before we can find it out. But here are some reasons you should be exciting:
1. The Story
While most movies already released something around the 1-year mark, World War Z is an exception. The only thing we know is that it might go in a completely different direction than the first movie. World War Z saw a plague of zombies decimating the human population all over the world. In an attempt to track down the source of the disease, Lane traveled all over the world but could not find a cure. The only thing he found was a way to mask the non-infected by using deadly diseases. So maybe Lane goes further in his quest to find a cure or will he be trying to find patient zero?

2. Producing Brad
Next to playing the main role, Brad Pitt additionally will be involved with producing the movie. The script is originally written by Steven Knight and is rewrote by Dennis Kelly. Kelly also worked on the British version of the television show Utopia. So the opportunity to write for a devastating zombie plague seems well within Kelly’s wheelhouse.

3. Director missing
Earlier this year, Juan Antonio Bayona has exited as the director for this movie. This sudden leave has everything to do with the timing because he needed more time for commitments on a film he just shot. This disappointment won’t let the studio down, because they are still determined to get this picture into theaters by June 2017.
