After just over a year of the Knights of Guinevere pilot releasing and near silence, us fans who have been very excited for this project received exciting updates. The Knights of Guinevere episode 2 is scheduled to release on YouTube on October 9th!

These news arrived just days ago, as the fans were stirring again, wondering if we would get news after a year of silence. We finally got our answer and a trailer dropped, teasing episode 2.

If you haven’t seen or heard of the show, Knights of Guinevere primarily follows a pair of friends, at least in the pilot. We have Frankie, a factory worker and Andi, an android surgeon. They live among a society called Planet Park, a floating amusement park in the clouds, while most of society lives underneath, surrounded by trash. The park is owned by Orville Park, with his daughter, Olivia Park, to be the intended successor. They are likely to be the antagonists of the show.

The pilot follows Frankie and Andi as they find a busted up Gwen, and Frankie is determined to save and revive her. Andi is hesitant but goes with it as they get into trouble rescuing her. After Gwen defeats a giant monster for them, they go to fix her. By the end of the pilot, she wakes up, leaving us on the cliffhanger of what happened next.

The new trailer showcased a voiceover from Guinevere, and we see some bits and pieces of what to expect. It includes an eyecatching shot of Gwen, as people call her, looking over an area on fire. We also see our two main characters, Frankie and Andi. Hopefully we get to see them actually interact with Gwen, someone who Frankie especially adored from her childhood and was the driving force behind trying to save her.

We also see some characters we haven’t met yet, and some ones we have. It’ll be really exciting to see how the story unfolds.

The best part about the trailer dropping is GLITCH also released dates for episodes 3 and 4, which is certainly more than most of us hoped for.

Episode 3 is slated to drop on January 22nd of 2027, and episode 4 comes on April 16th, 2027.

GLITCH also announced in a pinned comment on the trailer that this season will have 8 episodes. I noticed that they intentionally said season over show, which leads me, and many others, to believe this won’t be the only season of the show. This is very exciting, as GLITCH usually only has one full season of a show, so for them to potentially greenlight multiple seasons for Knights of Guinevere would be amazing.

This also must be exciting for Dana Terrace, the creator of the show. She famously worked with Disney and made The Owl House. However, she left due to how Disney handled the show, cutting out a significant amount of content, as well as cutting out certain elements Disney didn’t approve of.

It’s great to see how a more independent studio like GLITCH is helping creators and projects find their footing and tell the stories they want to tell. They fund their projects, largely through merch and other means. They had also picked up the show Lackadaisy, which is receiving significant help from GLITCH.

GLITCH fans are also anticipating the next GLITCH direct in a few weeks. They launched the first GLITCH direct last year on October 10th. There’s some speculation on what will be addressed in this direct this year.

Fans are expecting news like Lackadaisy updates, potentially finally greenlighting Gameoverse, and news on The Gaslight District and how its production is going.

Who knows though! Maybe we will get some other unexpected news and updates. There’s no official date on the next GLITCH direct, but if it occurred on October 10th last year, we could expect news on the next one very soon.

For now, it is very exciting to see Knights of Guinevere return for more episodes. Now that The Amazing Digital Circus is over, I’ve been really anticipating this show finally come back and wow us with the new world Dana Terrace and her team is cooking up.
