Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times. Especially on a Monday.

Three weeks in and TGON’s Monday Motivation is not slowing down. Marvel suited us up. Star Wars reminded us the Force was always there. DC put on the cape. This week we are heading to Hogwarts, because the Wizarding World has been delivering exactly the kind of words you need on a hard morning for over two decades. These quotes did not come easy. Every single person on this list earned them.

Five quotes. Five characters who had every reason to give up and chose not to. Let that be your Monday.

1. “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” — Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Dumbledore says this to Harry standing in front of the Mirror of Erised, watching a boy lose himself in a reflection of everything he wishes he had. It is one of the gentlest and most direct gut punches in the entire series. Stop staring at what could be and go live in what is.

Dreams matter. Plans matter. But the version of your life that only exists in your head does not get anything done. Today is the day you stop dreaming about the week you want and start building it. Get up. Get moving. Dumbledore said so.

2. “Nobody in their right mind would’ve let you do this if you’d said what you were planning.” — Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

This one is here because Monday Motivation is not always about epic speeches. Sometimes it is about Hermione Granger being the smartest person in the room and doing the hard thing anyway, even when nobody would have signed off on it. She did not ask for permission. She prepared, she acted, and she got it done.

Take that into your week. Stop waiting for someone to greenlight your next move. Stop asking for approval you do not actually need. Hermione never once let the fear of someone saying no talk her out of doing what needed doing, and she saved the Wizarding World three times before she was seventeen.

3. “The ones that love us never really leave us.” — Sirius Black, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Sirius Black spent twelve years in Azkaban for a crime he did not commit. He lost his best years, his freedom, and almost his mind. And when he finally got out, the first thing he did was show up for his godson. He did not come back bitter. He came back full of love.

This is the Monday quote for anyone who feels like they are showing up alone. The people who believed in you, the ones who shaped you, the voices that told you that you were capable: they do not disappear. They stay. Carry them into your week and let them push you forward.

4. “I enjoyed the meetings, too. It was like having friends.” — Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Luna says this so simply it almost breaks your heart. She spent years at Hogwarts on the outside, the strange girl nobody quite knew how to include. And when she finally found her people in Dumbledore’s Army, she did not take it for granted for a single second. She named it for exactly what it was.

There is something quietly radical about that kind of honesty. Luna never pretended to be unbothered. She just kept showing up anyway, kept being exactly herself, and eventually her people found her. Walk into your Monday like Luna. Be exactly who you are. Your people are out there.

5. “It’s not about what you are born, but what you grow to be.” — Neville Longbottom, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Nobody in the entire Harry Potter series has a better arc than Neville Longbottom. He starts as the boy everyone underestimated, the one who could not get a spell right, the one the Sorting Hat almost put in Hufflepuff. He ends by pulling a sword out of a hat and beheading a snake while the world was on fire.

That transformation did not happen because Neville got lucky. It happened because he kept showing up even when he was terrible at it. Even when everyone expected him to fail. This is your Monday Motivation in its purest form: you are not who you were. You are who you are becoming. Now go become it.
