With 14 seasons, a 15th season which is about to wrap up and one movie(so far) Bob’s Burgers remains a beloved animated sitcom and looks to continue until at least 2029, having been renewed all the way through season 19, which is not Simpson’s numbers, but still pretty respectable. So, there was a lot of fans for the Bob’s Burgers Panel on Saturday which featured supervising director Bernard Derriman, creator Loren Bouchard  as well as H. Jon Benjamin (voice of Bob Belcher), John Roberts (voice of Linda Belcher), Kristen Schaal (voice of Louise Belcher), Eugene Mirman (voice of Gene Belcher), Dan Mintz ( voice of Tina Belcher), and Larry Murphy(voice of Teddy) where they revealed details on the upcoming 300th episode and information on the Halloween and Christmas episode for season 16. Sadly no mention of a Thanksgiving episode, which personally have been my favorite of the series.

The 300th episode of Bob’s Burgers entitled “The Pre-Pre-Opening” will follow Bob as he faces the dilemma of whether or not to raise the prices at his restaurant. It will also features flashbacks to the early days of the restaurant with Bob dealing with the stresses of being a new restaurant owner as well as Linda about to give birth to the oldest of the Belcher children, Tina. After 15 years we finally get to see the origin of the titular Bob’s Burgers and perhaps Tina’s birth?  No date has been given for the 300th episode yet, but Bob’s Burgers is still in the middle of airing season 15 and hopefully will return for the 16th season featuring episode 300 this fall.

In addition to the special 300th episode there was also details given about the Halloween and Christmas episodes. The Halloween episode will involve the Belchers’ handyman friend Teddy taking a handyman job at the store next to Bob’s Burger, which always seems to be changing as part of the show’s opening gag.  For this episode it looks like it was be some kind of cult store so expect things to get kind of   spooky and for the Belcher children, Louise in particular, to get involved somehow. Jamie Demetriou from Fleabag is slated to guest star for the Halloween episode as well.

Details were sparser on the Christmas episode, but it is supposed to feature a Christmas Village. I am assuming the family goes on vacation there and like most Belcher vacations things go very wrong. This writer was personally disappointed there was no announcement of a Thanksgiving episode, which  has always been a great Bob’s Burgers tradition and has produced such classic episodes as “I Bob Your Pardon”,  “Dawn of the Peck” and “Turkey in a Can.” Among others. The Christmas and Halloween episodes are good too, but don’t quite hit the same level as the Thanksgiving episodes. That being said its still early and no official premiere date from season 16 has even been given. If its moved back to the spring or mid-winter we might even see a Halloween or Christmas episode that airs in April, which seems almost on brand for Bob’s Burgers.

A few other episodes for season 16 were mentioned including one where Linda’s sister Gayle(voiced by the always wonderful Megan Mullally) gets married for an art project and Teddy agrees to officiate.

Aside from a few episode announcements there was also more information of the “Art of Bob’s Burgers” book which is releasing September 23 and will feature art from the show, obviously. Fans were also excited to learn about more merchandise too including aprons, recipes cards, etc.

So, 15: almost 16 seasons in Bob’s Burgers appears to still be going strong and fans have a lot to be excited for, in particular hitting the 300th episode milestone which is quite an accomplishment.
