With spring here, it is time for WonderCon to return to the city of Anaheim, California.
Hosted by Comic-Con International and held at the Anaheim Convention Center, WonderCon 2025 is set for March 28-30, 2025 this weekend. On Friday, the convention center doors open to the public at 11:30 AM and close up at 7 PM sharp. On Saturday, doors open at 10 AM and close again at 7 PM. On Sunday, doors open at 10 AM, but close two hours earlier at 5 PM, so be mindful of the time. Time flies when you’re having fun!
With 900+ exhibitors and vendors, WonderCon 2025 will have an abundance of original creators to buy from and support. If you are interested in purchasing signed art or merchandise directly from the creator, I recommend checking out the artists that are set for Artists’ Alley to see if you recognize any of the usernames. You may even spot your all-time favorite artist! If you are a bookworm like me, you may also be interested in checking out the Small Press section of WonderCon 2025. I love buying graphic novels and books directly from the authors because they often come signed, which is a big win for a bookworm!
Since official convention parking lots fill up fast, I recommend taking advantage of off-site parking. The Anaheim GardenWalk, for example, is approximately a twenty-minute brisk walk to the Anaheim Convention Center. Simply wear comfortable shoes and bring your GardenWalk ticket to the WonderCon Information Desk in Lobby B/C to collect a parking coupon that will guarantee you the 25 USD Anaheim Convention Center rate upon exit. The Disneyland Toy Story Lot will also offer 25 USD day parking to WonderCon attendees. Simply inform the parking attendant that you will be attending WonderCon before paying.
According to the WonderCon Portal, single-day tickets are still available for purchase, but prices vary per day. Adult tickets for Friday, for instance, cost 49 USD. Meanwhile, Saturday Adult tickets cost 59 USD and Sunday Adult tickets cost 42 USD. Ticket prices have slightly increased since last year, so if you can only afford to attend for one day, I recommend looking into the WonderCon Programming Schedule before settling on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The Programming Schedule, or WonderCon app, will list the most recent event selections, including panels, workshops, signings, portfolio reviews, and much more.
Please keep in mind that any of the three days can be fun if you plan accordingly. Friday, for instance, is the opening day of WonderCon and Saturdays tend to be the busiest day of any weekend convention. If you are looking for a slower-paced experience, consider attending Sunday. As an introvert who is not a big fan of congested crowds, I love attending Sundays. Plus sometimes creators in Artist Alley will offer their wares at incredibly discounted prices as part of a last-day special!
But no matter your choice of day, WonderCon is a place to have fun, make new friends, and share incredible experiences, so go get your ticket and make some memories!
