With only a few months left of 2024, L.A. Comic Con returns to take center stage at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Southern California. Set for October 4-6, L.A. Comic Con announced its highly anticipated 2024 lineup on Friday, September 13th, offering attendees an early look into over 300 panels and programming showcasing some of pop culture history’s most recognized and beloved names. Comic Con 2024 offers its fans! I personally am HYPED for what L.A. Comic Con has planned for fans like me!

Like last year, attendees will have numerous opportunities to meet and greet their favorite celebrities and pop culture talents and the main stage will house some of the most anticipated panels in recent years, including a first-time in convention history reunion panel for the cast of The Addams Family and a live simulcast of the “Back to the Future” panel with Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Tom Wilson, and Lea Thompson. Fans can click here for a complete list of the L.A. Comic Con acquired talents. Fans can also anticipate an exclusive panel featuring the brilliant minds and voices behind the adult animated web series Helluva Boss, including creator Vivienne Medrano, voice actor and co-writer Brandon Rogers (the voice of Blitzo), and voice actress Erica Lindbeck (voice of Loona). If you are scared of the West Hall but willing to brave it for Helluva Boss news, like me, let’s brave it together!

As Los Angeles’ largest pop culture event, L.A. Comic Con astonished its 2023 attendees by delivering its most diverse and engaging show in event history. This year, L.A. Comic Con is leveling up again by awarding attending fans their most requested celebrity guests for panels, signings, and photo ops. Did you attend last year’s show? If so, tell us in the comments what you enjoyed most about it and what you’re looking forward to most this year.

Like in previous years, fans can pre-purchase autographs and photo ops with special guest celebrities and tour the largest artist exhibit Hall in the country, with over 1,000 artists and vendors gathered together to showcase and sell their work. Fans can anticipate numerous original artists and creators stationed throughout the Exhibition Hall and Artist Alley, including WEBTOON ORIGINALS creator Purpah and TV Personality and Change My Mind game creator Josh Saleh. If you want to learn more about these individual creators, click here to read my 2023 interview with Purpah and click here to read my 2024 interview with Saleh. As a long-time fan of Purpah and their webcomic Suitor Armor, I am incredibly excited to connect with her at another convention. As a fan of the party game Change My Mind, I am excited to have my copy signed by Saleh! You can find him at Booth 2039!

Last, but not least, there can be no Comic Con without cosplaying! Every year, L.A. Comic Con gives creative cosplayers a chance to compete for a 25,000 cash prize by participating in one of three categories: Master, Journeyman, or Novice. Characters from ALL GENRES of film, television, comics, video games, anime, and other original creations are welcome! But adults aren’t the only ones that’ll be on stage. L.A. Comic Con will host a Kids’ Costume Contest for all junior cosplayers from 12 to younger. All finalists will receive prizes and the top five cosplayers will win a prize provided by a special unnamed guest! Do you have any guesses as to who the surprise special guest will be? Tell us in the comments!

Every year, it’s our goal to give attendees the most diverse, eclectic, and inspiring show, that lets them rediscover why they’re fans in the first place,” said Chris DeMoulin, CEO/GM of Los Angeles Comic Con parent company CEI. “This year, we’re really touching on the nostalgia strings, bringing together some of our most requested guests and panels from the epic classic films we all know and love, while also highlighting the works of new creatives. We’re also continuing to embrace our growing gaming audience by doubling down on our West Hall activations. L.A. Comic Con 2024 will celebrate the creativity, artistry, diversity, and passion of being an Angelino and a Comic-Con fan overall.”
