If you missed my season two review last week you can find it here.
I promised I would have Shoresy season three for you guys and here it is. There isn’t anything that says that this is the last season so we may get a season four. Time will tell. This season, the team is going after the national title. They unfortunately lost the championship game but they did have a perfect season and get to host and participate in Nationals. If they weren’t hosting Nationals the Bulldogs wouldn’t be participating but you take what you can get. Apparently, their victory party after their win was epic and they should never get that drunk ever again. Let’s see how this season goes.
E1 4-6
After the recap, we see Shoresy and the team in the locker room with Shoresy crying. The guys try to make him feel better and he was awarded the game stick by Sanguinet and was a complete prick. Shoresy is devastated they lost to the Yanks. Turns out a bunch of the team was hurt and ultimately lost the last game. However, they did raise the money to bid for the national championships and they got it. I’m sure Letterkenny will be thrilled. I know Katy and Bonnie will be, Wayne, Dary, and Squirrelly Dan, not so much.
Nationals are coming up in seven days and a few of the guys have injuries that will keep them out of the game for four to six weeks. So, of course, they have to find out who is the most broken. We get introductions to the teams that will be at Nationals. I enjoyed Ziig and Miig’s presentation better than Bro Dudes.
E2 Charlottetown Reds
Sanguinet had pushed Shoresy, Dolo, Hitch, and Goody to find their fighting spirit and they did and seem to have gotten closer as a team. Nat is now making sure that Shoresy is front and center in a few engagements. That’s gonna come back and bite her I am sure.
For being as hurt as they are, they are playing surprisingly well and won their first game. Shoresy had to do those bytes between game halves. Now for the seminar, it’s about nutrition. Like Shoresy, Goody, Dolo, Michaels, or Hitch are going to know anything about that. Nat and the girls are really setting them up to fail. You gotta see the commercial.
So, if the guys keep saying the team they are playing next are Italians and so they will be fast, is that racist? It’s a question in the episode.
E3 Vaughn Canadesi
Watching Shoresy, Hitch, Dolo, and Goody try to make a commercial is funny. Laura is interviewing key players for each of the teams at Nationals. Shoresy said all the guys are gonna want her and he wasn’t wrong. Jory Jordan, yeah, that really is the name, is so antagonistic to Shoresy, rapid-firing inappropriate questions for his show. The kid has to be sixteen or seventeen and insists he isn’t a kid. The Canadesi game is a bloody one. Number 98 the other team takes out one of the Bulldog’s teeth and he in turn gets his nose broken. So far this is my favorite episode.
E4 Brooks Barrelmen
Found out why the party after their twenty-four-game winning streak was epic, Shoresy was pumped full of drugs. First, he drank himself to sleep, and then he was given some coke to bring him back. When that was too much the whole team was given ecstasy. That whole night, whew! I also now know why the guys have the ridiculous strike of missing hair in the back. Cue the rolling eyes.
E5 SOO Hunt
Shoresy’s been benched and he is PISSED. He is so pissed he has water on his face. Nat won’t let him play and Shoresy didn’t want Sanguinet to comfort him. Shoresy doesn’t want to listen to anyone who tells him he is too hurt and maybe he shouldn’t do this anymore. The whole team is playing hurt except JJ Frankie JJ. Yes. That is a real name in the show. Gordy from the Reds wants to take Ziig to dinner and she keeps turning him down. I don’t know why. He’s gorgeous and sweet.
E6 Les Rapides De Rawdon
The Bulldogs were dying on the ice and Shoresy contributed by starting a fight in the stands which got him suspended from the final game. Nat was trying to keep him in the game because it would be his last game ever. Shoresy kind of has his head back in the game even though he is suspended, though. He has his team’s back. He even participated in the last interview with Jory Jordan rather than ignoring him like before. Wait! I spoke too soon! He gets to play!
I watched the whole third season with my other half and he found it hysterical. Me, the more I watch it, the more I know that the show isn’t for me. It’s not a bad show by any means, I am just not a big sports person and since that is a big focus in this show, it’s just not my bag baby. What about you? Do you like Shoresy? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time, have fun storming the castle!
