A long time ago in a movie theater maybe not so far away, Star Wars was released to widespread audience praise. Ever since this franchise has continued to grow and expand into a multi-media behemoth. In celebration, many games have started their May the 4th events, providing cosmetic items and game modes.
Fortnite

Arguably the largest multiplayer game of the past few years, Fortnite’s “May the 4th” event adds weapons, cosmetics and more!
The largest addition is in Fortnite’s new Lego gamemode. In the LEGO Pass: Rebel Adventure, players can team up with the rebellion to fight off the empire using lightsabers, Bowcasters, blasters, and thermal detonators. Players who purchase the LEGO Pass will get the Chewbacca cosmetic skin for free.
In Battle Royal, the Wookie Bowcaster, Darth Vader’s Lightsaber, and Stormtrooper E-11 blasters have been added as well. The blasters and bowcasters can be obtained by looting chests or completing special tasks such as defeating Stormtroopers and rescuing Chewbacca.
For Fortnite Rocket Racing, the Darth Maul and Anakin’s Podracer decals are available to unlock by completing May the Fourth Quests. Various skins are also available to purchase in the item shop including Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Imperial Stormtroopers, and more.
Brawlhalla

The free-to-play platform fighting game has also stepped into the ring. For this year’s May the 4th, Brawlhalla has added the iconic Darth Maul to their roster.
Earlier this year, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Vader were added to the game as mythic crossovers. Skywalker and Vader mirror the abilities of Ezio, Tano mirrors the abilities of Asuri and Kenobi mirrors the abilities of Val.
Now, Darth Maul joins the fray complete with custom Signature FX, a unique lock-in animation, a dedicated roster spot, and his double-bladed lightsaber. In addition, an R2-D2 sidekick, 2 new Sith-themed avatars, and four new emoji skins were also added.
Any players who log in during the duration of the event will receive the free “Sith Lord” Title reward. Maul’s abilities mirror those of Hattori and all Star Wars-themed items will stay in Mallhalla after the Event ends.
The Sims 4

Electronic Arts The Sims 4’s Star Wars: Journey to Batuu pack is on sale for up to 30% off for their May 4th event.
Numerous cosmetic items for both Sims characters and furniture are added with this pack, but that’s not all. On Bantuu, the Resistance, First Order, and scoundrels fight for control. The player Sims’ actions influence the world and determine who will come out on top. They’ll undertake challenges and special missions to sway the power balance.
These choices will not only affect the world but will also unlock rewards like starfighter access, new outfits, and critical missions on Batuu. The pack also includes a new world to explore. Here you can experience the iconic sights and sounds of Star Wars, socialize with alien locals, and collect new decor and recipes.
Conclusion
In addition to these events, most if not all Star Wars games are on sale including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Wars Battlefront II, and more.
The Star Wars franchise has inspired so many with its tales of hope and fighting for freedom. Even though some may not think the modern Star Wars media is as up to snuff as the originals, the lasting impact these films have is extraordinary.
These were only an example of the May the Fourth events in games so be sure to see if your favorite game is celebrating. And of course… May the Force be with you, always.
