The original Borderlands game hit the scene about a month into my relationship with my spouse. We had shared games with each other previously; however, this was the first title we played coop. We were so obsessed that we beat it in a day and continued playing it many times over. Then, three years later, we continued the tradition with the second installment. 2019, the third game rolled around, and we were again pleased with the series. Now, we are foaming at the mouth, waiting for news on the fourth title. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the news about Borderlands 4. However, we do have news about the movie trailer. So, grab a Moxx-tail, sit back, relax, and let’s get into it.

The Plot
The upcoming film, directed by Eli Roth, is based on the game series of the same name developed by Gearbox Software. It is centered on the infamous outlaw Lilith, who reluctantly returns home to the planet of Pandora. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas, the universe’s most powerful man. However, she cannot do it alone. Lilith puts together a ragtag team of misfits, including former mercenary Roland, demolition specialist Tiny Tina, the muscle Krieg, super scientist Tannis, and goofy robot Claptrap. The team will fight monsters and bandits while attempting to save the missing girl, who may or may not be the key to a major power.
The Trailer
Thoughts on the Borderlands Movie
When the cast was first announced, I will admit, I was weary. Jack Black playing Claptrap was the only positive that I could find. However, all those doubts aside, I think this movie will be fun. The trailer has a lot of details that I appreciated seeing. First, I geeked out a bit when I saw Marcus’s bus. That bus has started so many happy memories, and I could not help but smile. Secondly, the brief glimpse we saw of the runner looks excellent. I have spent plenty of time customizing my rides to look cool, and this one fits the vibe check. Finally, there was a brief glimpse of Gershon dolled up as Moxxi and Munteanu suited up as Krieg hit the mark. They look great, and I am excited to see more. My only hope now is to hear Krieg say one line. I imagine it was a non-speaking role. However, if I get one “I wanna ride a meat bicycle” or “LIGHTNING BOLT,” I will be tickled pink. Ultimately, I will go see this movie and am excited to report back afterward.
