In 2024, there are no short of all sorts of comic cons and conventions. These events are opportunities for fans and media makers to meet in person and connect. Thousands of fans come together to purchase rare pieces or new editions to their favorite fandom, either comic books, film, tv, or other fan memorabilia. There are many fun parts, from seeing all the talented cosplays to standing in line with like-minded individuals to meeting their favorite media personality and so much more.
It can be daunting to keep track of what conventions are happening, when, and where. Here, I have collected the key information and share resources for next year’s conventions:
Denver Pop Culture Con: July 4-7, 2024
The Denver Pop Culture Con is one of the biggest comic conventions in the country. Formerly known as Denver Pop Culture Con and Denver Comic Con, it is a 3-day weekend pop culture event at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. With over 100,000 participants, the convention hosts comic book professionals, fans, and retailers from around the world, it includes panels, seminars, workshops and more. They are also known for their Reel Heroes Independent Filmmakers Series.

Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con: Feb 29-March 3, 2024
Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) comes with a fan-first mentality. It is the Pacific Northwest’s largest and often most respected fan convention. The four day convention is inclusive for anything and anyone identifying itself as unapologetically enthusiastic, “nerdy” or “geeky”. Known for being inclusive for any age, media celebration, and pop culture concentration, it hosts a wide array of activities and programming including discussion panels, entertainment industry guests, celebrity signings and photo opportunities, prize drawings, and cosplay contests.

The San Diego Comic Con: July 25-28, 2024
No list is complete without The San Diego Comic Con. Since 1970, it has consistently grown in popularity and has been established as the top comic con in the world. Not only does it host many panels and seminars, it is a great place to network and meet other fans and players in the fan and media industry. It even holds several Guinness World Records, including being the largest annual comic and pop culture festival in the world. This gigantic convention has become an entertainment red-carpet event because of appearances by movie stars and A-list celebrities.

New York Comic Con: October 17-20, 2024
The Annual New York Comic Con is held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Manhattan’s West Side hosting over 200,000 attendees. Some of the biggest names in media come for panel discussions and autograph sessions. (For instance, this past year’s NYCC had newlywed Chris Evans come for a panel and photo session.) There are sneak peeks for upcoming much anticipated films and television shows too. The show floor is famous for some of the best cosplay around and hosts the latest trends in comics, graphic novels, anime and manga, toys, video games, movies, and television.
