These six episode seasons on the spin offs are a sprint. In hindsight it makes the side quest episode with the children seem really out of place. With that said however we sprint through a lot of story and information in a very short period of time. After Daryl is done hallucinating in the water after falling through the roof he heads back into Paris. The people from the group he met earlier, either dead or escaped. They survived years and years in the Apocalypse. Daryl and a boy that gives people hope show up and they have around a day left to live. Unreal, we learn that as Daryl is roaming aimlessly around town he comes across the man who has all the pigeons. Soldiers come and stop the conversation, the guy comes out of hiding to protect his pigeons from being eaten and ends up shot. Daryl fights the soldiers off,and talks to the man who insists that the pigeons be set free, I’m pretty sure they are going off somewhere to get help. My assumption is if all four pigeons show up at the same time together it’s a sign that something bad has happened.

Daryl makes his way back to Isabelle’s apartment, and Isabelle is there. Daryl decides that Laurent, who doesn’t know his way around Paris, is going to flock towards the Eiffel Tower and the place that his mother had her picture taken that he holds dear to this day. Obviously Daryl is right and Laurent is there, by himself, to be quickly under attack from walkers. Isabelle and Daryl arrive, and shortly after a car and some men arrive, taking Laurent and escaping, one is left behind that Daryl can interrogate. Daryl gets information from him on how to get inside Quinn’s place to get Laurent back.

Laurent quickly figures out that Quinn is his father, he wants to know about the safety of Isabelle and Daryl, Quinn says that Isabelle will be with them soon, but dodges the question about Daryl. Quinn wants to trade Daryl, and essentially keep Isabelle. Daryl, Isabelle and the remaining group split into two, one sets a decoy offensive on the entrance, while Daryl slips through the secret back entrance. He gets Laurent, mainly because Anna is such a great person, and on the way out Daryl and Quinn have a fight, which Daryl wins.

The two make it to the river and the boat that Azlan is going to take to the Nest, but, Emile says she wants to stay and help with what they are building in Paris, while Isabelle made a deal to stay with Quinn, and in return Laurent and Daryl can get safe passage out of Paris. She asks Daryl if he will take Laurent the rest of the way even though this isn’t his fight and he should be on his way back home by now. Daryl doesn’t want Isabelle to do it, and she insists that she is OK, and she will attempt to leave only after she knows Laurent has arrived safely. Daryl, Laurent and Azlan, reluctantly take the next leg of the journey.
