It’s truly fascinating to see how far esports has come, noting that some years ago, it wasn’t a thing. Back in the day, casino games like slots ruled the gaming world, but even for them, slot machine technology has greatly improved.

Now, esports have a significant share in the gaming market with well-established tournaments that one can even place bets on. If you check out casino apps with a sportsbook section, you’ll find that esports is one of the betting options with matches running every day.

When all is said and done, we have to give props to Konami for coming up with the eFootball Championship competition. However, the tournament was previously known as PES (Pro Evolution Soccer), until it was rebranded to “eFootball”. While the rebranding may have raised some eyebrows, it has done nothing to diminish the game’s popularity or esports scene.
