TokyoTreat is a monthly subscription box that brings the best of Japan to your doorstep. Founded in 2015 by Ayumi, the company started as a one-woman operation on her living room floor, where she hand-picked and packed Japanese candies and snacks that she thought people would love. With the growing popularity of the subscription box, Ayumi realized that she needed help, so she brought in the TokyoTreat curation, design, and marketing teams to help her bring the best of Japan to fans all over the world.

Every month, the TokyoTreat team hand-selects a variety of delicious Japanese snacks and ships them straight to your door. These snacks are not just about the food; they also create a snack guide to help you navigate the unique flavors and textures and show you Japan. This isn’t our first time reviewing a box for them, and so glad to be doing it again!

The Sakura Starlight Snackfest box is the perfect example of the unique and delicious snacks that TokyoTreat offers. Celebrating the cherry blossom season, this box is packed with some amazing treats that will tantalize your taste buds. As someone with food allergies, I was thrilled to see that the new snack guides now come with allergy information, making it easier and safer for people like me to enjoy the treats.

So, what did we love from this month’s box? The Banana Caramel KitKat was a standout for us, with its unique flavor and texture. The Puku Puku Tai Strawberry was another favorite, with its crunchy wafer on the outside and strawberry cream on the inside. The Kobe Sparkling Apple Juice tasted like a Japanese version of our traditional Martinelli’s Apple Cider, and the Mini Cherry Mochi’s were a huge hit with my daughter, who loved using a toothpick to get each tiny piece out.

But that’s not all – the box also contained Umaibo Mentaiko, which are umami-flavored corn snacks that are perfect for snacking on the go. The Yamato Curry Senbei is a curry-flavored rice cracker that is a perfect blend of sweet and savory. The Wasabi Potato Snack is perfect for those who love a little bit of spice, and the Sakura Cherry Bouchee is a delicate cake-like pastry filled with sweet cherry cream. The Ghana Matcha Truffles are perfect for those who love the taste of matcha, while the Sweet and Salty Spring Chips are perfect for those who love a little bit of everything. The Nyumen Soy Sauce Ramen is a light and savory noodle soup that is perfect for chilly nights, and the Mini Peach Ramune is a peach-flavored candy that is perfect for those who love a little bit of nostalgia.

Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the variety and quality of snacks in this month’s TokyoTreat box. Whether you’re a fan of sweet or savory, there’s something for everyone. So why not treat yourself (or someone you love) to a taste of Japan with TokyoTreat? Order your box today and experience the flavors of Japan without ever leaving your home.
