“When the sun goes down on the last night of summer camp, nine teenage counselors are plunged into an unpredictable night of horror. The only thing worse than the blood-drenched locals and creatures hunting them are the unimaginable choices you must make to help them survive.”
The Quarry is an interactive drama horror game developed by Supermassive Games, known for developing Until Dawn. Players take control of nine teenage counsellors that started preparing for camp. They must protect themselves against unknown supernatural forces, violent locals, and fraying relationships. Similar to other games of this genre, what happens in the story and the overall ending is all influenced by player’s decisions. The fate and lives of characters all depends on the decisions made by the player. In total, the game has 186 different endings.
As well as player choices, there are other elements to the game. This includes quick time events, finding additional clues, evidence and tarot cards, as well as aiming. All of these contribute to the game, though can also be turned off if players prefer to just click and watch. There is also the option of local and online multiplayer, where different players take control of other characters. They also have a voting system on key events which means everyone can contribute to what happens in the story.

The Quarry is available on both Xbox and PC. If interested, check out the trailer below:
