Super Nintendo World
Super Nintendo World is currently only a part of Universal Studios Japan. Still, the world is also coming soon to Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Singapore, and Universal’s Epic Universe. At Super Nintendo World, there are rides inspired by the games Mario Kart and Yoshi’s Adventure. In addition, the whole world is modeled with key elements of the world of Mario, including green tunnels, piranha plants, Princess Peach’s castle, and more. There are also opportunities to meet the characters such as Princess Peach, Mario, Luigi, and Toad. For food, visitors can grab something at Kinopio’s Cafe and Yoshi’s Snack Stand, and there are also popcorn buckets available for a quick snack. Merchandise is also available at 1UP Factory or Mario Motors.
Pokémon Wonder is different from your regular theme park, being described as a nature adventure more than anything else. It’s located in a forest where you can experience Pokemon existing in nature. It’s located in Yomiuriland in Tokyo.
Dragon Quest Island
Dragon Quest Island is a theme park area inspired by the series Dragon Quest. The park is located at Nijigen no Mori, a theme park on Awaji Island in Japan. Visitors can mimic gameplay in real life and embark on their own adventures, including battles with other characters. The park looks like it was taken straight out of Dragon Quest and put into real life. There are also Dragon Quest-themed areas for merchandise and food.
Angry Birds World
Angry Birds World is located in Doha Festival City, Al Shamal Rd, Doha, Qatar. There are almost two dozen rides related to Angry Birds, including a slingshot that catapults visitors more than 60 meters into the air. There are also seven different places to stop for food and over sixty-five other attractions and games to have fun with.
Mattel Adventure Park
The Mattel Adventure Park is still currently under construction, but it plans to open in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023. Planned attractions include a Barbie Beach House, Barbie’s Dream Closet Experience, a life-sized Pictionary board, a UNO cards climbing structure, laser tag, Hot Wheels go-kart, a Thomas & Friends ride, and much more.
LEGOLAND is exactly what it sounds like, a theme park made out of legos. This park is primarily geared towards children, but there’s still lots to enjoy. There are tons of rides, shows, attractions, meet-and-greets with characters, merchandise shops, and restaurants as well.
Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney Parks is a household name when anyone mentions amusement parks, but I chose to focus on these two parks located in Walt Disney World in particular. Magic Kingdom includes the classic Cinderella’s castle, the Beast’s castle from Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel’s tower, and Prince Eric’s Castle. It also includes various character meet-and-greet opportunities such as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Merida, Princess Tiana, and more. Some of the rides include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain. At Hollywood Studios, guests can meet Disney Junior characters, Olaf, Sulley, the toys from Toy Story, and more. The rides there include Millennium Falcon, Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster featuring Aerosmith, Slinky Dog Dash, The Tower of Terror, and more.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, which immerses visitors in a Harry Potter experience. Rides include the Hogwarts Express, Flight of the Hippogriff, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, and more. There are also six Harry Potter-themed places to eat, as well as shows, entertainment, and more.
