It’s here guys! The Playstation 5 (PS5) was revealed on Thursday in a reveal event Livestream. IGN reports 26 games were shown including Horizon 2 (Horizon Forbidden West), Spiderman Miles Morales, Resident Evil 8: Village, NBA 2K21, and much more. But that wasn’t all that was shown in the live-streamed event, Sony also showcased the console for the PS5.
Though memes have spread all over on how the look of the PS5 is reminiscent of a router as famously shown here!
The PS5 console is of a sleek white and black design which comes with a matching controller (you can put the console horizontal or vertical). There will be two versions of the PS5, a disc-less version, and one that accepts disc at ultra HD Blu-ray. Forbes estimates the price will range from $450 to $500.

Back in April, the PS5 Dualsense controller was revealed by Sony. The controller features adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, a new button that is meant to share gameplay content, and a redesigned light bar that is shown on each side of the center touchpad.

The Verge also reported the PS5 specs as follows:
- (Announced back in March) Eight-Core AMD Zen 2 CPU
- Custom AMD RDNA 2-based GPU (10.28 teraflops of power)
- SSD of 825 GB and 5.5 GB/s of performance
- 8k graphics
- 4k graphics at 120 Hz refresh rate
- 3D audio
Sony announced back in March that the new PS5 will be supporting 4’000 PS4 titles with backwards compatibility.

Sony is still planning on releasing the PS5 during the holiday season 2020.
Looks nice but a bit pricey not to mention buying a new tv.
