Now that September is finally over, our favorite super-hero television shows are this close to premiering on the CW. In whats shaping up to be a huge year in the Arrowverse with Arrow ending, Batwoman premiering and the mega crossover-event, “Crisis on Infinite Earths,’ airing in December (which Black Lightning will be apart of), Black Lightning has released its season 3 poster as well as the extended trailer for the beginning of the season.
Labeled “Lightning Strikes Back,” in the poster below, Jefferson Pierce (Black Lightning) has a brand new suit, while Jennifer Pierce (Lightning) is docked in her suit she received at the end of last season and Anissa Pierce (Thunder) is in her black vigilante costume not her regular superhero suit.
In the Black Lightning extended trailer, Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) and his ex-wife Lynn Stewart (Christine Adams) are frustratingly locked up by Agent O’Dell (Bill Duke) and the A.S.A with the threat of the Markovian’s looming. With the meta-humans in Freeland being tracked down, its up to Thunder (Nafessa Williams) and Lightning (China Anne Mcclain) to fight for Freeland.
Black Lightning premiers Monday, October 7th at 9/8c, only on the CW.
