With the news that this upcoming season of The Good Place will be its finale, the panel for the NBC juggernaut was bittersweet. Executive producer Mike Schur tweeted in June (via the show’s official account) that he felt 4 seasons and approximately 50 episodes were the perfect way to wrap up the crew’s stories in a rich and organic way.
With the end very much nigh (season premiere being September 26th), stars Kristen Bell, William Harper Jackson, Ted Danson, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto and D’arcy Corden along with creator Mike Schur held court in the Indigo Ballroom at SDCC 2019. Some motherforking highlights included:
-William Harper Jackson (Chidi) singing a theme song about his dog
-Manny Jacinto (Jason) and Mike Schur confirmed there will be more dancing in S4…along with a 60 person dance crew
-Kristen Bell (Elenor) directed an episode for the finale season
-EP Mike Schur confirmed there will be a new Janet introduced
All told, there were tons of tears and happy smiles as the cast waxed poetic about creator Mike Schur and his dedication to empowerment and finding the potential in actors. I may have shed a gotdawg tear myself.

At the very start, NBC embraced the fun of Comic-Con and had a diner (Interdimensional Hole of Pancakes) dedicated to The Good Place. Fans could nosh on breakfast stuffs and be reminded not to touch the Niednagel.
