Wet Your Whistle At Emerald City Comic Con

Source Emerald City Comic Con

I am so excited to go back to Emerald City Comic Con again this year. Last year my husband AJ and I had a blast. One area we didn’t get to was the Beer Garden. This year it WILL be a place we get to. My sister-in-law Leslie will be joining us too. I unfortunately have a horrendous allergy to alcohol. If I imbibe I tend to break out in handcuffs so I won’t be partaking in the tasting. However AJ and Leslie are willing to put their livers at risk for you. Just kidding about the liver part.

Some of the companies that are participating in the League of Libations are of course Fremont Brewing who is presenting the beer garden, Firestone Walker, Seattle Cider Company and Hopworks Urban Brewery. Some of the drinks that these fine companies are sharing with us are Sky Kraken Pale, Mocha Merlin Milk Stout and Dry Cider however Dark Heron is the official brew of ECCC this year.

This year ECCC should be tons of fun. I hope you all have a blast. If you do visit the Beer Garden please drink safely. Make sure you know your limit and bring a designated driver or use a bus, cab, Uber or Lyft. Are you going to the Beer Garden at ECCC? Let me know which brew you are excited for in the comments below. Til next week…

Author: Andie Boyungs

I am a wife, mother, writer and nerd. My dad cultivated my love of sci-fi as a child and I haven’t looked back since. I love myth and magic. I am an avid reader and love TV and movies. I love the movies Willow and Legend and the Star Trek ones both old and new. Laurell K. Hamilton, who writes the Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series, and Jim Butcher, who writes the Harry Dresden series, are probably my top two favorite authors. I love learning and writing about mythology and there is so much out there to learn, see and imagine. Come fly away with me.
