Spoiler Alert, this article talks about an episode of OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes that has yet to air on television but rather was released on the Cartoon Network app.
Just like most exams, we got things right and wrong but thankfully this proved to be a true turning point for the series as fans finally start to get long-standing pieces of the puzzle in this latest release bomb.
Once again, the show starts off with our three heroes, Enid, Rad and K.O., together. They all wake up the morning after the previous episode’s (Mystery Sleepover) events. Upon waking up, they realize Elodie never returned to their room from her “gifted class” and that there is something definitely messed up going on. Naturally, these heroes want to get to the bottom of what is happening and set out to find answers. Without giving to much away, Rad and K.O. get taken by the school’s workers (technically, Elodie called them troopers) as suspects for last nights infiltration. At first, Elodie is unwilling to help and wants to proceed with her role as a model student. Thankfully, Elodie once again proves there is genuine good within her as she rescues her friend and willingly agrees to miss her exams in order to help Enid rescue her friends.
After obtaining trooper gear, Enid and Elodie end up finding the two caged fellas in the office of Chip Damage. This upstanding hero whom we’ve known of for a while now, spoiler alert, turned out to be a robot (entirely made of drones). To me, this was a huge surprise as I knew something was up with him but did not consider the possibility the he was fully robotic. Another shocker came with the info that Doctor Greyman was his creator. Created to be symbol of hope, Chip was made after the alleged loss of laser blast with the goal to inspire and keep P.O.I.N.T. strong. Furthermore, it is confirmed that Greyman was not involved with the evil happenings that occurred in this arc. Soon Elodie, Enid, Rad and K.O. face off against an aggressive Chip so that he would no longer be operational as they stole his rear (his power source).
Following the epic fight falling from the top of a building, Chip powers down and all the students of P.O.I.N.T. Prep gather around the metal remains of the fallen hero. Some of these heroes are familiar but I saw one that was clearly distinguishable but previously unmentioned (just wanted to mention them in the off chance they are seen again). In a delightful turn, even thought the two girls missed their exams, Greyman gave Elodie and Enid both A pluses which made one (I think you can guess who) very happy.
Enid decides to leave P.O.I.N.T. Prep coming to the conclusions that she can not support their ideologies. Later, just as shes about to leave, Sparko joins her believing that P.O.I.N.T. Prep isn’t for him. Before this scene went down, there was an exchange between Greyman and Foxtail which contains important information for future episodes so be sure to catch it. Foxtail certainly has changed over the years since the sandwich incident but her role in this episode truly showed how dark she has become. While her end goal seems unclear at the moment, fans can expect to see her soon enough.
Personally, I hope the end of this arc doesn’t mean we wont see the students again. There was so much character and potential surrounding them but that wont mean much if they don’t make another appearance. Since this episode was titled “Final Exams”, maybe they’ll be on break and can visit the plaza (in this fan’s dreams) or they will be brought into frame for some reason or another. Sunshine and Greyman should be around the corner too with their ties to these latest events (I thought this episode could have also used a little more Sunshine).
What did you think of this new episode, was it satisfying and how has your opinion of certain characters changed? Leave a like and a comment but be sure to be on the look out for more Ok K.O. articles. Stay Nerdy! (also Rad’s antennas, they are cool)
