It’s the Younger season finale and omg you guys!

First off, Josh is still considering giving his sperm to Malkie, so Lauren provides some hard-ass drugs so that he can have visions of his future and clear up his feelings. Those drugs show him his future with a baby, BUT THAT BABY IS LIZA’S! So when he wakes up from this dream, he decides to not be a sperm donor, because he wants to have kids when he’s with someone he loves and he wants to start a family in the more traditional sense. The look in his eyes showed he was ready to fight to the death for Liza, but that’s going to be hard considering

CHARLES AND LIZA ARE ALL IN!!!!!!!

But let’s start at the top. So Quinn has gathered a group of investors and they want to save Empirical from financial ruin, but they want to rebrand and make Millennial the flagship brand! Charles tells Liza & Kelsey this and they’re like whoa wtf. Liza is determined to leave the company now more than ever to ensure that everything stays clean and above board. She takes Quinn out for drinks to tell her in person, but Quinn isn’t buying her reasons. Liza, who has gotten real loose lipped with this “secret” comes clean without any hesitation.

Quinn loves this whole story and wants to spin it into an inspiring tale and take a stand against age-ism. After this conversation, Liza decides to turn down Cheryl Sussman’s job offer (also because it was a terrible job with terrible people under a terrible imprint). Cheryl, being vindictive, then runs a blind item in page 6 about the 40something editor dating the 20something assistant. Quinn finds out about this and tells Charles she has to back out of the deal, because it looks bad in the climate. I resent that because this climate punishes sexual harassment and assault, not consensual relationships, so saying it’s bad for all office romances is cheap and also lessens the trauma of assault survivors, likening what they went through to just any old office romance…but I digress.

Charles decides, that to save the company, he will step down as editor and join the board. On The Bold Type, Sutton couldn’t date Richard because he was on the board and she was an assistant, so idk why this works in this universe but let’s not question it. For Charles, this is basically being pushed out into early retirement, but I guess he’s ready to do it to save his father’s company and get to be with the love of his life.

They announce this at the office, Kelsey is blown away by her amazing promotion, and Liza is an executive right alongside her. She’s happy for Charles’ “promotion” until Dianna tells her it’s not truly one. She’s all amazed that he would do that for her, and they hold hands and walk away together, both starting with huge smiles on their faces and ending with worried looks.

There are still so many unanswered questions and potential consequences ahead, Liza’s story has to come out and be accepted, who knows what that will do to Millennial. Then her relationship with Charles has to go public, and so many people can still fuck it up. Then Quinn has to prove she’s not evil. Then who even knows what Josh is going to do?! At least Dianna is getting her happy ending and honestly it’s all that matters.

Her & Enzo have a huge fight because she laughs at his appointment by the city to handle some huge sewage thing. Then she sees on the news that he’s gone missing while tackling the fatburg and runs downtown to be there when they find him. They do eventually find him, and he comes out of the floor, all covered in poop and stuff, but Dianna runs up to him and hugs him so tight, she doesn’t even care that she’ll have to burn the clothes she’s wearing. They’re really cute and if I believed in love they would be my ultimate otp.

Lastly, Kelsey and Zane are at a weird crossroads. He tells her that he LOVED her and she’s like whoa you don’t get to say that for the first time in the past tense! Then he decides he can’t work for her and so he quits, but he already had another job offer and now that we’re competing again, I hope we can get more of that sexy competitive spark, and finally stop playing games and just be together. Zane is hot and he deserves happiness.
