The New Wizarding World Logo, What Is It And What Does It Stand For?

You may or may not have noticed it: with the addition of Fantastic Beasts to J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, they have got a new logo. The old one was a combination of two W’s with the text ‘J.K. Rowlings Wizarding World’ surrounding it like a circle, as you can see in the image.

The new one is a bit more spectacular. It looks like a book, but instead of paper pages, it shows a collection of wands. According to Pottermore, these wands were not selected randomly but ‘these nine wands represent nine witches and wizards who made a huge difference in their stories, whether for good or evil.’

But then the main question remains: who do the wands belong to in the new logo? This is the list:
– Voldemort: 13½” long, yew with a phoenix feather core.
– Ron Weasley: his second wand, 14″, willow with a core of unicorn hair.
– Hermione Granger: 10¾”, vine with a dragon heartstring core.
– Harry Potter: 11″, holly with a phoenix feather core.
– Albus Dumbledore: 15″, elder with a thestral tail hair core.
– Newt Scamander: unknown length, wood and wand core.
– Porpentina Goldstein: unknown length, wood and wand core.
– Queenie Goldstein: unknown length, wood and wand core.
– Young Grindelwald: unknown length, wood and wand core.
