We are back with the next episode of My Hero Academia! Last time, things got a little uneasy towards the end. Kirashima and Todoroki are trying to persuade Midoriya into joining them in saving Bakugo themselves. But others in Class 1-A are adamant in not allowing their fellow classmates do something so reckless and just leave the rescue mission to the pros.

Kirashima and Todoroki explain that their plan is to have Yaoyorozu create another tracking device to follow the Nomu that she tagged back in the forest. This explanation alone really upsets Iida out of all of the class. Shoji voices his opinion, saying he understands Kirashima and Todoroki’s frustration when it comes to feeling like you could have done more. But, this also is not a time to act on your emotions when lives are at stake. Most of the class agrees, too. Even the voice of reason, Tsu, says no matter how just your feelings are, breaking the rules and using quirks without a license makes you no better than the villains. An awkward silence goes through Midoriya’s hospital room until a doctor comes in and tells the students to clear out, for it is time for Midoriya’s exam. But before they leave, Kirashima tells Midoriya that tonight will be the night they strike. He was unsure if Midoriya will be able to fight in his condition, but he at least wanted to reach out with an invite. Kirashima says if he wants to come, they will meet him at the front of the hospital. What they did not notice is that Iida was eavesdropping on their conversation.

Midoriya’s exam is full of terrible news. Due to him pushing himself past his limitations way back in the Muscular fight, Midoriya has suffered some irreversible damage to his arms. A few more stunts like that, and he may lose the ability to move his arms at all. Usually, people have limiters that make the body not use its full strength. But when someone were to face a crisis situation, the person will be freed from these limiters. But those limiters are there for a reason, and the backlash from using 100% of your strength can be detrimental. Obvious that the news got Midoriya a little down, the doctor gave him a note that Kota had written for him. The note reads, “Dear Mr. Midoriya, sorry for punching you in the balls. Thank you for saving me even though you barely knew me. Please get better soon so I can thank you in person. Kota”. We then switch to Tsukauchi recruiting pro heroes for the rescue mission for Bakugo. He summons the likes of Endeavor, Best Jeanist, Gran Torino, Tiger, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady. But we also see two new faces: Edgeshot and Gang Orca, the number 5 and number 10 heroes.

Later that night, we find ourselves in front of the hospital where Kirashima told Midoriya to meet him and Todoroki. Out of the hospital doors comes out Yaoyorozu alongside Midoriya. Apparently, she never really gave a clear answer to the two on if she will make another receiver. Kirashima asks if she will fulfill their request but before she can answer, Iida shows up to protest the mission. Iida expresses his concerns. Saying that out of anyone, Todoroki and Midoriya should understand that they can’t act on their own self-righteous urges like he himself did against Stain. And that also U.A. is in a terrible position with the media and if the news were to get whiff of this, it would only get worse.

Midoriya tries to explain their reasoning, but Iida was not having it. Iida punches Midoriya in the face, interrupting his explanation. Iida worries greatly for his classmates, being the class representative. Iida seeing Midoriya on the hospital bed reminded him of his older brother after being attacked by Stain. As they stand in awe in what just happened, Todoroki goes more into what their plans really are. It is more of a covert mission to scout out the area and at least help the pro heroes in some way. They will try not to use their quirks on anyone if they don’t have to. Yaoyorozu chimes in saying that she will join the group as well to supervise and make sure no rules are being broken. Iida gives up on trying to stop his classmates, and decides to join them as well! He will also be on watch to make sure everyone is following the hero rules.

On the train to their destination, Midoriya asks if they have told their other classmates about leaving tonight. Todoroki tells him yes and that they tried to stop them again. Uraraka of all people thinks a group of people coming to save Bakugo like a damsel in distress will anger him greatly, and she does have a point. Todoroki reminds everyone that this is a very selfish act that they are committing, and gives everyone another chance to dip out. Kirashima is very determined to save Bakugo. When Todoroki asks Midoriya, Midoriya does not answer immediately. All Might’s words echo in his head, “Meddling when you shouldn’t is the essence of being a hero”. All Might chose Midoriya to be his successor, he can not turn back now.

Everybody arrives to the Camino Ward, which has a very busy city life. Knowing that their faces have been put everywhere due to the sports festival, they decided they must get in disguises. Once they leave the shop with their new looks on, they notice a special news bulletin on the big T.V. in the town square. It is a press conference with U.A. represented by Principal Nezu, Aizawa, and Vlad King! The staff members apologize and make their worries known about the kidnapping situation. Still, the media and the masses tear into U.A. as a whole. This broadcast is also showing in the karaoke bar where the villains reside.

Shigiraki points out to a captured Bakugo the criticism the heroes are getting from the news. The pandering continues, pointing out that heroes have so many restrictions and rules they must abide by. Shigiraki then orders Dabi to release Bakugo’s restraints. Dabi tries to tell him that this is a bad idea, but Shigiraki wants Bakugo to be comfortable. He is not worried about Bakugo fighting them being that he trusts his judgement is good. Fighting against the League of Villains as a whole is not smart. Dabi delegates this job to Twice who is also very uneasy. Once Bakugo gets free, he slams Twice and lets out a huge burst on Shigaraki! Bakugo was sick of listening to the villains plot and persuade. He tells them that he wants to win like All Might, and that will never change! Shigaraki looks at the severed hand that Bakugo blasted off, and says to himself quietly, “Father”.

Lots of dialogue this episode, but this is just getting the ball rolling. The feud between Class 1-A worried me, but I’m glad they found resolve. Next episode will be a doozy, hopefully Bakugo will get loose from his captors grasp. Tune in next time!
