After an agonizing wait, fans of the popular adult sci-fi comedy Rick and Morty can rejoice: the show’s fourth season has been confirmed. Even better, Justin Roiland, the show’s creator, confirmed on May 10, 2018, that Adult Swim has ordered a whopping 70 more episodes for the show – that’s more than double the number of episodes in the first three seasons combined. So, while the wait may have seemed long (though not as long as the wait between seasons 2 and 3), it looks like it was all worth it.
Both Roiland and his co-conspirator Dan Harmon have come under severe questioning from fans in the past months about the show’s renewal. And they’ve been pretty good at seeming aloof, alluding to a complicated situation and implying uncertainty about a renewal at all. But in the end, their creativity and the popularity of the show won out. Rick and Morty has become a hit across the board in the realms of television, streaming services, gaming and social activities, so it’s hardly a surprise that Adult Swim jumped hard on a chance to further capitalize on the show.

To add to the excitement, the Rickmobile will be making regional rounds again starting May 17, 2018. So, if you didn’t get your Rick and Morty gear last year, you may have another chance.
