Awards season is still on a roll, and the SAG Awards was full of flashy glamour. Here are my top 3 favorites for the women and men.
Olivia Munn wore an Oscar de la Renta gown and she was one of the actresses who got the memo that sequins was going to be big on the red carpet. I love the silver and black color palette and the leaf detailing is gorgeous! Lastly, it was nice that everything else was simple, so that the dress could be the focal point.
Mary J. Blige wore a Jean Louis Sabaji gown and I think she really took a risk. The dress is a simple silhouette, but the 3-dimensional “feathers” wrapping around the dress are so interesting and super dramatic. It really draws the eye and I think Mary really pulls it off.
Yara Shahidi is wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection jumpsuit. I think she really rocked it on the red carpet with this outfit. It’s so fresh with the train attached to add drama and her hair and makeup really tied everything together. She looks like a million bucks.
Lucas Hedges is wearing a Dior Homme suit and I’m in love with the flower detail. It really pops out against the all black look, and it’s kind of like a replacement for the usual pocket square. I think it was a bold choice, but he wears it well.
Joseph Fiennes is wearing a Broni tuxedo. It’s quite a simple look, but I like that it’s a navy tuxedo and not the usual black. I’m always excited to see men push the boundaries of fashion on the red carpet, and just wearing a different color than black makes me happy.
Timothée Chalamet is wearing a Calvin Klein tuxedo. I was going to pass over him, but then I saw that pinstripe of red down the pants and I was on board. I thought that was a cool touch to a simple black tux and it matches with the red carpet. It’s a nice element of surprise.
