If there was ever a film that deserved a sequel right off the bat, it was The Incredibles.  Ending on a cliffhanger, the fantastic animated film won the hearts of millions.  Yet we never heard any plans for any sort of continuation.  Now here we are, thirteen years later, and we finally have our first trailer for the long awaited sequel.

Not much is known about the film, but we are told that the film will pick up almost exactly where the first left off (thank god).  On top of that, Elastigirl will be taking center stage while Mr. Incredible gets to stay home and watch over their super-powered baby Jax.  You can catch the trailer just below.

Along with the new teaser trailer, we were also gifted a new synopsis and teaser poster for the film.

“Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.”
