It is finally time. The 10th exam that we’ve all been waiting for. Midoriya and Bakugo vs All Might. Not only does Midoriya have to fight against his lifetime idol but he also must fight alongside his hot-headed rival. Let’s get started!
Bakugo immediately starts walking straight without any caution. Midoriya on the other hand is very worried that they don’t have a game plan at all. Midoriya tries to reach out to Bakugo to warn him that they should try to avoid any combat with All Might. But Bakugo shuts him down saying that they will fight him head on. Eventually he’ll tire out and that he will finish him. Midoriya insists and keeps trying to get to Bakugo. But Bakugo replies with a smack to the ground and warns Midoriya not to say another word. The other students watch all of this, very aware of how poorly the two work as a team.

Meanwhile, All Might is clear on the other end of the course. He decides now is the best time to strike. All Might simply throw a punch and it creates a wind pressure far enough to impact Midoriya and Bakugo. As the dust settles, the glow of All Might’s presence erupts through. He reminds them if they think of this as an exam, they will fail. And that he is a villain. That explains the carelessness of All Might’s punches charging through buildings. Midoriya in a panic tells Bakugo that they need to go, but knowing Bakugo he stays to fight. Bakugo heads straight for him but All Might grabs his face. Bakugo unleashes some more explosions on All Might but to no avail. Bakugo is seriously going for the kill in the exam. All Might drives him into the ground with ease. Left standing is Midoriya. All Might expresses his disappointment for trying to leave his partner behind. This triggers Midoriya’s One for All ability and he jumps back. But while jumping back he does not see Bakugo right behind lunging forward towards All Might. The two crash into each other because of the lack of communication and teamwork.

The two are very distraught. Nothing is working against the world’s number one hero. Midoriya is still wanting to run away but Bakugo is again not having it. All Might knowing Midoriya wants to run grabs some rebar from a damaged building and pins Midoriya into the ground, and follows that with a huge punch to the gut of Bakugo. The two lay there but Bakugo is the first to stand up. Seeing that, Midoriya gets the drive to get himself out of the ground. All Might takes this time to explain why Bakugo is so mad. And he hits it right on the dot. All Might says he is mad that Midoriya keeps improving and he stays the same. But Bakugo has a lot more control over his quirk and for longer than Midoriya has even had a quirk. All Might fails to get to Bakugo either. Bakugo makes his hate for Midoriya known, that he would rather lose than win with him. As All Might was about to throw the finishing blow, Midoriya swoops in. He throws a big punch towards Bakugo to not only let him know how strong he has become, but to also get him out of the way to make their escape through the alley. For now, they are safe.

As they make their escape, Bakugo forces himself out of Midoriya’s grasp. Midoriya tries one more time to get to Bakugo and reminds him ever since they were kids, all he would say is “I have to win no matter what” and that saying he would rather lose is not like him. Bakugo comes at Midoriya with a huge, explosive punch. But it wasn’t at Midoriya, it was at the wall behind him to show his anger. They then begin to actually communicate about All Might’s power. This is a lot more progress then they had before. We cut to All Might searching for the boys. Out of no where Bakugo strikes All Might. Bakugo then yells for Midoriya who pops up behind All Might with one of Bakugo’s explosive gauntlets! Midoriya triggers the explosion right into All Might and then make their escape towards the goal. All Might is very impressed in the compromise they made to fight and run.

The goal is now in sight and there is no trace of All Might catching up to them. But as they got more comfortable All Might leaps to the scene. He destroys both of Bakugo’s gauntlets at immense speed. He then sends a flying knee right into Bakugo that sends him flying. But Bakugo recovers and comes straight at All Might. All Might counters this by grabbing Midoriya and swatting Bakugo right out of the sky with him! Both of the boys are in serious danger being in the grasp of All Might. But even this drove Bakugo to push himself harder. He sends a huge blast right towards All Might and frees his grasp. As All Might is stunned, Bakugo throws Midoriyatowards the goal. Unfortunately All Might throws his body towards Midoriya to change his trajectory. Midoriya makes big impact right into a bus.

We now have Bakugo and All Might going at it head to head. Bakugo is straining himself way too much and is becoming fatigued. But Bakugo has come to terms that he won’t be able to defeat him if he doesn’t take risks. So he sends another gigantic blast towards All Might. Bakugo is yelling to Midoriya to hurry up and go through the goal while he has All Might distracted. Midoriya starts hobbling towards the goal while Bakugo is in big trouble. All Might then pins Bakugo in a big way. This does not settle with Midoriya one bit. His hero instincts kick in and he jumps in to save Bakugo! Midoriya is sporting a big smile just like the man he adores so much. He lands a huge blow to All Might and grabs Bakugo. This punch was too strong, even for All Might. All Might was down long enough for the boys to get through the goal. Midoriya and Bakugo have passed their exam!
The episode I’ve been waiting for definitely did not disappoint! Midoriya not only won, but won like a hero would! And no less against his lifetime idol! I hope Midoriya’s and Bakugo’s cooperation with each other does not cease anytime soon! But sadly, next week is the finale for season 2… So I will savor that last episode as much as I can!
