Wobbly Wallaby Takes a Leap in Time

Nickelodeon brought its A game when the Rocko’s Modern Life panel at the San Diego Comic Con was introduced Thursday July 20, 2017. The panel consisted of six individuals we know in love including Carlos Alazraqui, the voice of Rocko, Tom Kenny, the voice of Heffer, Doug Lawrence, the voice of Filbert, Charlie Adler, the voices of Mr. and Mrs. Big Head as well as Joe Murray, the series creator, and the new director Cosmo Segurson. Children of the 90’s will recall Rocko’s Modern Life as the series that follows a young wallaby and his steer and turtle companions. However, in this 2017 movie, Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, Rocko, Heffer, and Filbert find themselves twenty years into the modern era surrounded by metropolitan areas with their version of a Starbucks on each corner and new cell phone released within moments. Nickelodeon does an excellent job of teasing viewers with the experience of our era through the eyes of a wallaby stuck in the 90’s. Overall, the Nickelodeon team has created a flick that will have all screaming, “That was a hoot!”

Viewers can look forward to reliving their childhood in 2018.
