SDCC 2017: SALVATION (CBS) PANEL

With only two episodes aired, Salvation has a small, yet strong fan following. Today, San Diego Comic Con held a one hour panel (With a sneak peek for what’s to happen. Check it out in the link below) for the CBS Sci-fi thriller series that follows an astroid ready to collide with earth within the next six months.FullSizeRender.jpg-2

Creators Liz Kruger and ¬†Craig Shapiro add insight for fans, as to what to expect for what lies ahead for the season. Stating, “There will be blood. There will be action. There will be romance.” Actor Santiago Cabrera, who plays Darius Tanz explains that, “There is a lot of googling terms and what things mean.”, as he describes what it takes to work with the shows script and tech-heavy dialogue. All the while, Ian Anthony dale jokes how he’s, “So happy he doesn’t have to memorize that dialogue.”, being that his character, Harris, is a Deputy Secretary of Defense. Later explaining that,” It’s fun to see the audience react to whether they believe the characters are good or bad.” Given that he plays a character with questionable morals.FullSizeRender.jpg-1

And, although Jennifer Finnigan was not present at todays panel, Ian mentioned his chemistry with her character, Grace Barrows, saying it was “built in right from the get go”. (Makes sense, since, the two have known each other for 15 years) Jennifer did tweet out days prior to SDCC about her character, saying,” I love that Grace isn’t afraid to stand up for what is right. So cool to play a character I look up to.”

Fans of Salvation can look forward to more suspense, drama and even things about Darius that may surprise you with the weeks to follow.

Salvation airs Wednesdays on CBS @9/8 c.
