As I mentioned roughly six months ago, great movies don’t always have an American background. Take Valerian and the city of 1000 planets for example. The budget of €197 million is by far the largest ever assembled for a French film. And if you look at the number of people looking forward to it, I have no doubt it will be worth the money.

Six months ago I also wrote a post about Valerian. This one can be read here. Since then nothing new has been announced based on cast or filming so the movie was already in the making for a while. We did get treated to not one, but two new trailers in the meanwhile. Check them out down below!

In other news, if you live in India then I might have some good news regarding this movie. The film, which is being brought to India by PVR Pictures, will release in 1,000 screens in the country just a week after the worldwide release. Kamal Gianchandani, CEO of PVR Pictures, says they are dubbing the movie in three Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) to widen its reach.

The movie will be released worldwide on July 21, 2017, before being released in France on July 26, 2017, and India on July 28, 2017.
