Powerless Episode 1 – Wayne Or Lose

Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk

Charm City is full of daily supervillain attacks, and Emily Locke is determined to help people stay safe with her new job at Wayne Security, even though her team of engineers has become apathetic from hearing their ideas are “too unsafe” or “too dangerous” or “we can’t get the actual sun to power your sex robot.”

Emily finally makes it to work after the Jack-O-Lantern throws her train off course and is pumped to get started but she soon finds out that she’s the 6th new boss the team has had that year, and that her boss, Bruce Wayne’s cousin, doesn’t actually care about anything, he just wants to present Bruce with a huge product and get promoted to the Gotham office.

Before Emily has time to get anything done, Wayne Security is shut down!

That’s it, end of show…jk jk jk, she obviously saves the day.

After hearing of the closure, Emily goes into Van’s office and is pissed to find him celebrating. He’s going to be absorbed into the Gotham office after all, getting exactly what he wanted. While bragging about failing up, Van also mentions that they’re not technically shut down yet. Emily then convinces her team to adapt their “Emily Alert” into a device that would recognize the super-villains smell pattern and alert civilians who are in the blast radius. Bruce loves this idea and starts beta testing it immediately (and I can’t believe it doesn’t already exist).

At the end of the episode, the engineers see that BATMAN has used a device almost identical to theirs to catch The Joker. They all daydream and wish that they worked for Batman because he’d “get them”

Cut to me yelling at the TV, “YOU DO WORK FOR BATMAN! THAT’S BRUCE WAYNE! GUYS! COME ON!”

Will they ever find out who they work for? Will this show last more than 10 episodes? Stick with TGON for all your Powerless wants and needs!
