Adult Swim Broke The Internet With New Short

Adult Swim has given us a lot of great series over the years. Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Venture Bros, Robot Chicken, Rick and Morty, and even the revival of Toonami. However, in all my years of watching cartoons, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like what Adult Swim just did. This past Halloween weekend, Adult Swim released a short titled “Come and Learn With Pibby,” on YouTube. What everyone saw almost set the animation community ablaze.

Space Jam: A New Legacy-Fun Film Weighed Down By Warner’s Insecurity

Twenty-five years ago, Warner Bros gave us the most unlikely of films, Space Jam. Combining live action with 2D animation, that film saw Bugs Bunny and Michael Jordan team in a high-stakes game of basketball. Despite getting mixed reviews from critics, audiences seemed to love the film, turning it into a cult classic. For years, Warner Bros considered the idea of a sequel, bouncing around several ideas. However, nothing came of them, and the film went into development hell. Then in 2019, word came out that the sequel was officially on. Two years later, Space Jam: A New Legacy hit theaters and HBO Max. But how does it live up to the original’s legacy? And is it worth the hype that Warner’s put into it? The short answer: yes and no.

Weekly Comics Pull; 8-29

After four separate investigations into Wolverine’s whereabouts that surprisingly fell short on excitement and any major revelations, fans were left with a series of Dead Ends. While Marvel may have been trying to elevate a bad pun with the four Hunt For Wolverine stories, what we’re left with is still a pretty bad pun. Thankfully, Charles Soule (Darth Vader) brings the loose threads together to make a really satisfying read, that, honestly, we could have arrived at sooner than sixteen issues. Regardless, Soule brings menace, whimsy and some old-school world-wide conspiracy arch-nemesis reveal with Soteira. Persephone, via holographic projection, threatens the future of the mutant race just so Iron Man, Daredevil, Kitty Pride and all other parties interested in Wolverine back off.
