KuloNiku: Bowl Up! – April 7th

One reviewer called this the best cooking game since Cooking Mama. If you’re looking for your next cooking sim or job simulator KuloNiku: Bowl Up! might be exactly what you’re looking for. With color and fantastic animation this game brings so much personality to the life sim genre that can be over-saturated with copy-paste games. There is a demo available so try it out for yourself! Pokémon Champions – April 8th

Pokémon’s “free-to-start” game is now on the Nintendo Switch family of systems, with the mobile release slated for later in 2026. Pokémon Champions is a free game to download but has lots of micro-transactions as with most live service games. While not officially pay to win, early players have their concerns about rewards being blocked behind pay walls. Got a team you want to bring from Pokémon Home into Champions, as long as those Pokémon are available in the game anyway, you can. But not all Pokémon are in Champions so your whole team may not be playable. Currently available on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream – April 16th

Known for its insane humor and absurd social events, Tomodachi Life finally has a sequel. The original on the 3DS has been long loved and extremely meme-able, in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream brings all of that back and gives you more menacing control over your residents. Available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire – April 16th

If you love 1930s cartoons or the art style of Cuphead, Mouse: P.I. For Hire might be right up your street. In this black and white, rubber hose style first person shooter join P.I. Jack Pepper for a hand-drawn detective adventure. Packed with noir style mystery and fast paced shooter gameplay. Available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S.

Pragmata – April 17th

Capcom’s new science fiction action-adventure is here. Join an investigation team and explore a space facility that’s been taken over by a rogue AI. A heart-warming adventure from Capcom full of lore, unique combat and exploration and bursting with personality. Pragmata is available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.

Masters of Albion – April 22nd

Another in the ‘God Game’ genre but from the genre’s creator, Peter Molyneux. Masters of Albion tasks you with shaping a world where you “build, guide and defend your town by day, then survive the night when everything is under threat”. This is a strategy city builder management game where you can jump into the role of god or experience it as one of the townsfolk. Ready to play god? MotoGP 26 – April 29th

Milestone srl is back with another annual release of the MotoGP series. MotoGP 26 returns with modes from previous games including Race Off, an expanded career mode and a focus on realistic rider-based physicals. This time around the online multiplayer can have up to 22 players competing, with options for split screen and new training disciplines to choose from. Available on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows (Steam) and Xbox Series X/S

Wax Heads – May 5th

In this narrative game you are working in a struggling record store. Get immersed in the world of music and the drama that comes with it. Dead as Disco – May 5th

Beat ’em up to the rhythm in this martial art music game. Fight to reunite the band and reclaim the spotlight in Dead as Disco. Directive 8020 – May 12th

Supermassive Games is back with another interactive drama and survival horror game. With choices that matter, multiple endings and five different characters to choose from, it’s no wonder that Directive 8020 has taken so long to develop. Join the crew of the Cassiopeia as humanity’s last hope. This time Supermassive has included live combat but this game is still about sneaking past the aliens rather than fighting them. With new accessibility options the next game in the Dark Pictures Anthology is stacking up to be a great one. Blades of Fire – May 14th

“Steel is Destiny” in this dark fantasy adventure. You play as the last warrior capable of forging true steel, ina world where metal turns to stone. Forge weapons with “intent, sacrifice and consequence” and survive long enough to master their weight. Combat is unforgiving and requires you to tailor your weapons for your enemies. Blades of Fire is currently available on the Epic Games Store but is coming to Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 14th.

Forza Horizon 6 – May 19th

Drive around a stylised Tokyo in Forza Horizon 6. Set up to have the most complex and intricate driving space yet, the fourteenth entry in the Forza franchise brings the return of the seasonal weather changes. Play as a tourist, qualify and win races, earning wristbands to eventually reach the Legend Island. At launch Forza Horizon 6 will include 550 cars that can all be customised. Thick as Thieves – May 20th

You’re in it alone, or with your partner in crime. thick as Thieves is a stealth action game where you commit thefts through short missions and intense gameplay in the city of Kilcairn. The immersive first-person experience can be played solo or with a a friend in the co-op multiplayer. Uncover arcane secrets and explore an alternate history on May 20th, available on PlayStation 5, Steam (Windows) and Xbox Series X/S.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book – May 21st

Yoshi is back with a new game! On the island where the Yoshis live, a talking book crash lands and his pages are full of animals and creatures to discover. Like many Yoshi games this looks to be a kid-friendly platformer with a huge cataloging mechanic. Solve puzzles for each page seeking out the peculiar creatures throughout Mr. E the encylopedia. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive and priced at $59.99 USD for the digital and $69.99 USD for the physical.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight – May 22nd

Described as a “love letter to the world of Batman” Legacy of the Dark Knight looks to be the ultimate Batman game inspired by comics, films, other games and even TV series. Unlike other Lego games, Legacy of the Dark Knight has seven unique playable characters: Batman, Jim Gordon, Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul. Explore the origin story of Batman with the League of Shadows in Legacy of the Dark Night, available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S with a planned release on Nintendo Switch 2 coming later in the year. Paralives – May 25th

The long awaited Sims rival is here. As with The Sims, build homes, careers, families, friends and chaotic drama in Paralives. Featuring a detailed character creator and a gridless builder to create your perfect home. Here is the key thing that might put you onto Paralives from some other life sims: on the FAQ website page, when asked how much Paralives will cost, Paralives Studio says the game will cost $39.99 during Early Access and increase when the full version is released, but that “Paralives will never have paid DLCs, only free expansions.”.
Paralives enters early access on May 25th on Steam.

007 First Light – May 27th

The name’s Bond. James Bond. Based on the James Bond books by Ian Fleming and the film franchise this action-adventure game drops players into 007’s origin story, where he must earn his license to kill. With the title song performed by Lana Del Rey, a star studded cast of voice actors and film actors and some mechanics from the Hitman games series; First Light is looking like a great addition to the James Bond franchise. 007 First Light will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam and Nintendo Switch 2.
