Recently in the pages of Godzilla Monsterpiece Theatre comic miniseries(2024-2025) Godzilla crossed over with Jay Gatsby from The Great Gatsby, Sherlock Holmes and even Dracula and he looks to be doing it once again with the Monsterpiece Theatre Presents 4-issue one-shot series which has already released its first Romeo and Juliet issue and will release one based on the Odyssey in June. While the last two one-shots have not been confirmed here are a list of Godzilla x classic literature we would like to see here a Game of Nerds

Treasure Island

If the Muppets can do it why not Godzilla? I could see a twist on the classic tale where Jim Hawkins and crew think they are going to an island for treasure, but end up on a Monster Island

War of the Worlds

The Time Machinist, another of HG Wells creations, was featured in the original Monsterpiece Theater miniseries so it would be that hard to see Godzilla join the War of the World, another one of Wells’ creation. This time we might even see Godzilla help out humanity and he does have plenty of experience fighting aliens.

Captain Ahab(Moby Dick)

While Captain Ahab is obsessed with hunting the great white whale Moby Dick who’s to say the tale can’t be retold with Captain Ahab and his crew hunting the great radioactive lizard, Godzilla

A Christmas Carol

This one might be a little far-fetched, but a lot of people probably thinking Romeo and Juliet crossing over with Godzilla was as well. It would make for a great holiday story and maybe even have Godzilla stand in for the ghost of Christmas future.

Frankenstein

This crossover actually came pretty close to happening and Frankenstein almost fought King Kong as well so why not go for a 3 way crossover.

King Arthur

Godzilla is already currently crossing over with a classic English folklore character, Robin Hood, so why not another with the Legendary King Arthur. Knights are famous for fighting dragons so why can’t the knights of the round table take on another kind of giant lizard. I would also like to see what Excalibur and Merlin’s magic can do against Godzilla

Wizard of Oz

Why should Dorothy be the only one who visits the land of Oz?  We could also see a crossover with another forgotten L. Frank Baum story: The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus which could see Godzilla taking on the merry gift giver himself.

Beowulf

From the olde English epic poem which was adapted into a 2007 movie starring Angelina JolieBeowulf is a monster slayer so why not have him face the King of Monsters

Tarzan

Tarzan would be a better fit to crossover with King Kong, but like Frankenstein I don’t see why we can’t have a three-way crossover

Chronicles of Narnia

This one might be a little to similar to the Oz crossover and less likely, but it still might be fun to see Godzilla step through the wardrobe.

Conan

Ok, maybe Conan isn’t considered “classic literature” but he did start out in books written by Robert E. Howard and it would just be a cool crossover to see

Edgar Allan Poe

I could see this crossover going one of two ways: either adapting one of Poe’s stories and throwing in Godzilla or have a brand new story featuring the famous author meet Godzilla

Dr. Seuss

Yet another out there possible crossover on this list, but I think it would be fun to throw Godzilla into a whimsical, zany, Seussical world. Maybe he could even meet the Grinch, Cat in the Hat or Horton

Clifford, the Big Red Dog

Ok, maybe Clifford isn’t classic literature, but plenty of people love the beloved children’s book series and who wouldn’t want to see a big red dog take on a giant lizard?
