World of Warcraft is letting players re-experience the Legion expansion that was released over a decade ago in a fast-paced, new way. Legion is widely regarded as one of the best expansion of WOW ever, and for limited time, players can replay it to earn all the mounts, transmogs, pets, toys, and other collectables they may have missed when Legion was current content. This event is called the “Legion Timerunning Remix” that started on October 7th, 2025, and will last through the end of 2025. Let’s go over everything players can do to grab all of those collectables before this event ends.

The Legion Remix is similar to Mists of Pandaria Remix that happened around a year and a half ago, but there are some very important differences. The most important difference is that the main currency, Bronze, is no longer used to upgrade characters; It is only used for buying collectables, so players do not have to choose between upgrading gear and buying the collectables they want. The second major difference is that content is time gated. This means that only early Legion end-game content is available right now. As weeks pass, more and more of the content from Legion will be available, coming out in chronological order every two weeks based on how they were released in the original expansion. This means that players will have to wait six weeks into the event to do all the content that Legion had to offer.

There are still plenty of things to do in the Legion Remix even though all the content is not available. To be most effective, most players are doing the following:

  1. Leveling a character: Starting at level 10, players can choose from every available class and begin the remix as long as they have an active WOW subscription. The goal is to reach level 80, but how players get there is up to them. The fastest way is to combine questing with queueing for dungeons. However, the best way for maximizing Bronze is to only do quests.
  2. Doing all quests: Doing all quests awards players with achievements that allow them to get increased Bronze gains from all sources, as well as increased power gain for the Artifact weapons to gain the strength to do end-game content faster. Unfortunately, this means doing hundreds of quests. While this is not mandatory, it is recommended to make everything else easier for the rest of the remix.
  3. Start doing raids: Upon reaching max level, the best way to get more powerful is to do raids. Unlike retail, raids reset daily so players are encouraged to do every raid, on every difficulty, every day, for maximum Bronze and power gains. This is obviously unrealistic for most people to do, but it is something that players are doing.
  4. Gear up: Gearing up is pretty straight forward in the Legion Remix. All content at max level reward “Mote of a Broken Time” and “Fragmented Memento of Epoch Challenges.” Earning 10 Motes allows players to create a new piece of gear, and that gear’s item level depends on the player’s item level. Earning 100 Mementos gives a massive power increase to the Artifact weapons. There are also daily quests that reward purple boxes that also give pieces of relevant loot. Getting as many Motes and Mementos as possible is the name of the game so players can gear up and gain power more quickly. Daily raids are the best way to earn these currencies, then quests/world quests, and finally regular and mythic plus dungeons. The Max item level is 740, and this can be achieved in about two weeks of doing daily raids, dungeons, and quests.
  5. Purchase collectables: Throughout the leveling and gearing process, Bronze will be earned at every step. All the player has to do is spend it on the collectables they want. Each collectable costs a decent amount of Bronze, meaning players will have to spend weeks or even a couple months collecting Bronze to purchase everything that is available in the Legion Remix.

While all of this seems daunting and time consuming, once players start getting more powerful, this process becomes a lot quicker. See you around the Remix!
