We explored more about the fight against The Wolves and the Seraphites. Ellie and Dina faced tough choices and dangerous moments. They went through an emotional ride with many close calls.

Wolves vs Seraphites:

We learn more about Isaac Dixon, who used to work for FEDRA. He leaves that world behind to create W.L.F. Right from the start, Isaac shows he’s ruthless. He’s willing to kill FEDRA soldiers to switch sides and fight for his new cause.

Isaac remains ruthless and violent to this day. There was a shocking moment when he seemed to share a hopeful story about loving to cook and finally having a chance to use his dream cookware. It seemed inspiring at first. But then, it quickly turned disturbing. Instead of cooking, he used the pan to burn a fragile Seraphite, which was gross to watch. As the story unfolds, we learn more about the ongoing war. It appears a truce has been broken, though we don’t know how it started. The fighting has become a constant cycle of violence, with people from both sides killing each other. In this episode, both groups face deadly losses. Isaac kills the Seraphite he was talking to, and later, we see Wolves hanging and disembowled. I want to understand how it all began so I can see the bigger picture.

Day One In Seattle:

As we travel through Seattle, a question crosses our minds. What did Dina hide in her bag from the medical supplies she found? It’s obvious she’s hiding something from Ellie, and that’s not a good sign. While walking through the city, they spot some Pride flags hanging around. They don’t understand what these flags stand for. They think the people celebrating are just hopeful or happy. When they see the W.L.F. sign on a nearby building, they realize they are getting closer to their goal.

They walk into a record shop, and a special moment unfolds. Ellie finds a guitar and begins singing “Take on Me.” Dina steps closer to watch her, her eyes full of love. You can tell how much Ellie means to her. Dina gets emotional and says Joel did a good job teaching Ellie to play guitar. It’s a touching nod to Joel, showing that his lessons will stay with them forever.

They keep moving forward and climb inside a building. Inside, they find many dead Wolves and feel shocked. They quickly hide when others arrive to see what caused the hanging of some Wolves. Now, they need a way to escape. Ellie, acting on impulse, decides to try to kill a soldier. Thankfully, Dina comes to help. That’s what worries me. Ellie is so sure she can handle anyone, but this time she struggles. If Dina hadn’t been there to help with the other man, Ellie might have been killed. She needs to understand that sneaking out sometimes works better than rushing into a fight. In the end, they barely manage to escape.

They crawl into a subway station, and chaos erupts again. More Wolves show up, hunting them down. Their flares light up the tunnels, revealing cordycep spores all around. That means infected have been living in the subway for some time. As they try to escape, Ellie gets bitten while saving Dina.

That brings us to the scene at the theater. Dina points her gun at Ellie, convinced she’s infected. Ellie finally reveals she’s immune for the first time. Dina doesn’t believe her, which surprised me. Since they’re so close, I thought Ellie might have shared this before. Joel and Tommy wanted her to keep it quiet, but why not tell those she trusts? Especially here, in her community. Later, Ellie wakes up during the night, still with Dina holding her gun. Finally, Dina acknowledges that Ellie was honest all along. She drops a big news bomb—she’s pregnant. That’s why she grabbed the pregnancy tests. They share a kiss and finally come together. It’s fulfilling to see them happy and connected. With Joel gone, they need each other more than ever. I couldn’t help but laugh when Ellie said she’s going to be a dad. My only issue is, I wonder if Ellie and Dina truly grasp how much their lives will change. Ellie finds out the baby belongs to Jesse too. And Jesse has no idea. Will he support them and help raise the child? Do Ellie and Dina realize how this will affect their lives? Especially in this world. They can’t just leave anytime for patrols or adventures. They now have someone to care for. They’re still young. Will they be old enough to handle this? Right now, they’re dreaming, feeling closer than ever. But they’ll need to think carefully when they return to Jackson.

When Ellie and Dina overhear talk of Lake Hill on the walkie talkie, they decide to go there together to find Abby. The area looks like a war zone, so the search won’t be easy. The real worry is that they have no idea if Abby is even there.
