Summer’s finally over, so it’s time to take a peek at the a few of the Fall 2024 anime. This season, there are many returning shows as well as some new additions to the line-up. 

Uzumaki

Junji Ito’s horror story Uzumaki is finally getting a series. Uzumaki follows a small town as they slowly lose their grip on reality. As their everyday life begins spiraling out of control, the townsfolk find themselves at the mercy of whatever is causing the strange phenomenon.  

Dandadan

The most anticipated anime of the season, Dandadan follows two friends, Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura who have opposing beliefs. Momo believes in ghosts, but not aliens. Ken believes in aliens, but not ghosts. The duo, determined to prove the other wrong, seek proof of their beliefs. However, the duo finds evidence of what they didn’t believe in. Now, the duo has the supernatural ability to fight both aliens and ghosts in this supernatural action series. 

Blue Lock Season 2

The second season of this sports anime follows Isogai and the other contestants of the Blue Lock program who passed the Second Selection. For the Third Selection, the Blue Lock team must compete against the Japan U-20 (Japan National Under-20 Football Team) to keep the program afloat and steal the slots of the current Japan U-20 team for themselves.

Bleach Thousand Years War Part 3

The third part of the long-awaited Bleach finale is coming. This season of the finale focuses on the fight between the Soul Reapers and the Wandenreich, the hidden empire of the Quincy. After losses, betrayals, and some wins, Soul Society is ready to go all in during the penultimate portion of the finale. 

Dragon Ball Daima

The final work from the late, great Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball Daima is the newest addition to the Dragon Ball Universe. Goku and company are shrunk in this original series and transported to a new world. A new adventure awaits Goku as he struggles with his height and has to rely on an old skill to get by. 

Blue Exorcist Season 4

The fourth season of Blue Exorcist follows Rin and company as they set off on another rescue mission. This time, it’s for their teacher, Shura who has disappeared. What awaits the group is an unsettling contract, new demons, and more problems for the sons of Satan.

I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History

Based on the light novels of the same name, this isekai follows Alicia Williams who is reborn as the villainess. She takes her role seriously as she does everything in her power to bully the heroine, Liz. Liz has a very childish mentality. Every time she is pushed to challenge her views and grow, she’s stunted by her admirers. The King wishes for his daughter to grow a backbone, but that’s proving to be a pain for him and Alicia. 

Toilet Bound Hanako-kun Season 2  

The long-awaited second season of this supernatural show is finally here. After months of rumors about a reboot, it’s good to see that the studio will continue with a second season. The series follows Nene Yashiro, a girl who wished for a boyfriend and accidentally summoned Hanako-san of the Toilet. After a series of events, the duo teams up to keep the balance between the spirit and human realms.

Ranma ½

This Fall anime 2024 season features a reboot of the 1989 show by Rumiko Takahashi. Ranma ½ follows martial artist Ranma Saotome. In the middle of training, Ranma slips into a cursed spring. As a result, he now turns into a girl every time he’s splashed with cold water. This causes problems for him as he is engaged to a girl who doesn’t like him, but now he has a whole line of suitors to fend off. Poor dude cannot catch a break.
