Summer is in full swing and in the hot weather a nice, cool drink is a beautiful thing. The drinks I found for you are adult cocktails. These nerdy adult beverages sound like a lot of fun and I would love to try them. Some of these drinks are pretty strong but they all look fun and refreshing. Well, except one, but I got a laugh out of it. The drinks are from a variety of fandoms but since I only did ten recipes I can only cram in so many. You could make these drinks and pair them with any of the recipe books in my Books For Your Feasting Pleasure series and you can make it a whole fandom meal. I included the links for the drink recipes and some of them have a whole list of drinks besides the one I mentioned on that list. I did find one place that has the mocktail versions of each drink of theirs.
Scooby, as you know, is my favorite cartoon character ever. He and Shaggy consume more food and drink in a single meal than I consume in a week. That’s outside of the Scooby Snacks that he gets for being a good boy. This drink has melon liqueur, rum, pineapple juice, and whipped cream and is the perfect color for the meddling dog, so why not have a Scooby Snack of your own?
This drink is perfect for the villain from Sleeping Beauty because this drink will knock you out if you have too many. The Maleficent Ice Tea is quite like a regular Long Island Ice Tea with a switch out and two additions. It has gin, vodka, white rum, tequila, blue curacao, grenadine, Sprite, and sweet and sour mix. I love Long Islands so I am sure I would love this.
Yes, I said summer drinks but the zombie apocalypse doesn’t stop because of summer. This creamy delight would be a great way to close the night. It is made with vodka, Kahlua, cream, caramel topping, fudge topping, and ice. For the blood simple syrup and red food dye are all you need. This sounds so yummy.
Do you think Superman ever takes time off? Even once he has a family? The man has two full-time jobs if you don’t count being a husband and dad. He is not only a source of good and justice for Smallville, he is known globally and even throughout the galaxy. Show your support for Superman with this blue curacao, vodka, coconut cream, and pineapple juice mixture.
An icon since the 1950s, Barbie has done it all. A doctor, a vet, a model, a sister, in the military, and more, all while keeping up on her tan and looking killer while doing it. Is there nothing she can’t do?
Celebrate everything she is with this pink concoction made from coconut rum, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, orange juice, and grenadine with pink sanding sugar just to look pretty.
Rhysand Night Court Margarita:
I’ve been cheating on my husband with Rhsy since reading the ACOTAR books. Good thing my husband doesn’t mind. I would love to be on the balcony of Rhysand’s home with him sipping a drink and I can think of no drink more perfect for it than this margarita. It is made with blanco tequila, Cointreau, lemon juice, black Hawaiian sea salt ground up, brew glitter blue, and brew glitter black shimmer. The effect is gorgeous and I bet the taste is a little sinful like Rhys.
You can imagine floating on Cloud City with Lando Calrissian while sipping this drink. Made with cream soda, spiced rum, vanilla ice cream, and nutmeg, while the kids are having a root beer float, switch yours out for this. I am sure it would be just as good with root beer. Use a projector and a white sheet for a drive-in effect and watch Star Wars with the kids. It’s number 10 in the list in the link.
There are so many versions of superheroes that I can never keep up with continuity, I leave that to my husband. However, I think I remember a comic with Hulk and nuclear stuff. I mean outside of the gamma radiation. This drink with Hpnotiq, vodka, tequila, and Mountain Dew is bound to make you feel superhuman.
Yzma’s Hot Pink Potion of Madness:
Yzma is as mad as a hatter and twice as funny, though I think Kronk is funnier. Both are not the sharpest tools in the shed, especially Yzma since she hasn’t figured out how to manage Kronk yet. This potion sounds like something she would cook up to poison someone with. It is made with coconut rum, vodka, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cranberry juice so it is sure to taste much better than anything that Yzma would have made. This drink is the 4th down and this is the list that has the matching mocktails for the kids.
This one sounds both refreshing and spicy, it’s sure to light a fire going down. It’s full of vodka, blue curacao, lemonade, 151-proof rum, and a dash of cinnamon. I can see George and Fred Weasley drinking this while taunting Harry and Ron that they can’t have any because they are too young. Though I am sure everyone could have used a glass of this after the fight with “He Who Shall Not Be Named.”
I apologize if I didn’t get to one of your fandoms. I tried to do only one drink per fandom but I kept Yzma’s in although I already had Maleficent because it has mocktail versions of all of the drinks making it something for adults and kids alike and I love the sound of Maleficent’s. Do you want me to find more of these for you? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time, have fun storming the castle!
